MATCH ONE


Pyro went off in the Target Center and the crowd was on it’s feet as EBWF Warfare kicked off!

Jim Ross: Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen to this, the first Warfare of 2016!

Jerry Lawler: We are live from Minneapolis, Minnesota on this chilly Monday night! I’m Jerry “The King” Lawler, alongside my good friend, JR!

Jim Ross: Thanks, King!

“Obtuse” by PeroxWhy?Gen hit the PA and the crowd began to boo the arrival of PJ Black.

Jim Ross: PJ Black has managed to make sure he’s not a fan favorite around these parts.

From there, Roman Reigns' music hit and out he came through the crowd as usual. The crowd gave a pretty neutral reaction as he made his way down the steps, before finally climbing over the guard rail and getting into the ring.

Jim Ross: That’s a big, big man right there, King!

The bell sounded and away we go with our first match of the evening. The two locked up. Early on, Reigns seemed to be in control of the action, with Black getting in some offense here and there and staying strong. Eventually, Black took over control of the offense and he focused his attack on Reigns' shoulder. We see a shot of Stone Cold Steve Austin standing backstage watching the match on a monitor.

Jerry Lawler: Looks like ole Stone Cold has taken an interest in this match.

Out of nowhere, Reigns fired up and blasted Black with a Superman Punch. He didn’t get the three count, however, and moments later Black levels Reigns with a spinning heel kick.

Jim Ross: There it is! He got him down.

Reigns kicked out at 2. Reigns and Black are both down and out of the blue, Black locks on the Koji Clutch. Reigns fights it for a while and then muscles Black up and carried him into the corner but Black held onto the submission while laid up in the ropes.The crowd was going nuts, but Reigns slammed Black down on the mat. Black stumbled to his feet, and Roman speared him.

Jim Ross: Right into next Tuesday!

Reigns went for the pin, and took the 1…2..3!

Jerry Lawler: And that’s a much needed win for Roman Reigns!

MATCH TWO


EBWF returned from commercial as the crowd was pumped for Syxx versus a returning Jay Briscoe. First, a graphic of The Miz flashed on the tron above the stage. The words “Next Week” appeared.

Jim Ross: We have just received word that we’ll be hearing from the EBWF World Champion The Miz live next week!

Jerry Lawler: I can’t wait to hear what my favorite wrestler’s favorite wrestler has to say!

"Gimme Back My Bullets" by Lynyrd Skynyrd hit, and the crowd booed as Briscoe made his way to the ring. When Briscoe had entered the ring, "F.E." by 40 Below Summer hit and the Minnesota crowd went wild as Syxx stepped out onto the stage, accompanied by Symphony.

Jerry Lawler: This crowd are pleased to see Syxx tonight, JR!

Jim Ross: Well King, Syxx was born and raised right here in Minneapolis!

Syxx was all smiles as he made his way down the ramp, however is expression turned serious as he entered the ring and looked across at his opponent. The referee called for the bell and the two men locked up. Syxx applied a headlock, but Briscoe broke out of it and pushed Syxx into the ropes, then took him down with a big boot. Syxx got back to his feet and Briscoe hit a series of right hands, then whipped him into the corner. Briscoe ran at Syxx and hit a clothesline, then as Syxx staggered out of the corner, Briscoe set him up for a suplex. Syxx blocked it, then countered with a jawbreaker. Briscoe fell to the mat and Syxx stomped on him several times, then hit a leg drop. Syxx pulled Briscoe to his feet and whipped him against the ropes, before hitting a spinning heel kick. Briscoe got back to his feet and Syxx hit a hurricanrana, then rolled Briscoe up. The referee counted – 1... 2... kickout!

Jerry Lawler: Syxx with a near fall!

Both men got to their feet and Syxx went to whip Briscoe into the ropes, but Briscoe reversed it, sending Syxx into the ropes. As Syxx ran back towards him, Briscoe hit a superkick, then as Syxx got back to his feet, Briscoe hit him with the Death Valley Driver. Briscoe went to the top rope and hit Syxx with a frog splash, then hooked the leg. The referee counted – 1... 2... kickout!

Jim Ross: Another near fall! This time Briscoe gets a two count!

After Syxx had kicked out of the pinfall attempt, Briscoe pulled him to his feet, lifting him over his shoulders and hitting a muscle buster. Briscoe then stomped on Syxx repeatedly, before going to the top rope again. Briscoe went for a diving leg drop... but Syxx rolled out of the way! Briscoe was sat on the mat in pain, and Syxx hit a low dropkick, then picked Briscoe up and whipped him into the corner. Syxx hit two shoot kicks, followed by a jumping back kick, causing Briscoe to fall into a sitting position. Syxx then hit Briscoe with the bronco buster! The crowd cheered, and a "Let's Go Syxx" chant echoed through the arena. Briscoe looked dazed as he got to his feet, and Syxx went for the X-Factor... but Briscoe blocked it, then hit a reverse STO into the turnbuckle! Briscoe followed it up with a cannonball, then as Syxx got to his feet, Briscoe hit a three quarter nelson suplex. He hooked the leg once more and the referee counted – 1... 2... kickout!

Jerry Lawler: So close to a three count!

Both men got to their feet and exchanged right hands back and forth. Briscoe gained the upper hand, and after hitting a series of punches in quick succession, he took Syxx down with a discus forearm smash. Syxx got back to his feet, and Briscoe set him up for the Jay Driller, but Syxx countered with a back toss. Briscoe got to his feet, and Syxx went for the Syxx Kick, but Briscoe ducked out of the way before hitting a European uppercut. Briscoe followed it up with a sitout suplex slam, then as Syxx got back to his feet, he hit the Jay Driller!

Jim Ross: This time, he hits it! This one's over.

Briscoe hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1... 2... 3! The referee called for the bell and raised his arm in victory. Briscoe celebrated as Warfare went to a commercial break.

MATCH THREE

As Warfare returned from a commercial break, "SAWFT is a Sin" hit and the crowd cheered as Enzo Amore headed to the ring. As he walked down the ramp, Enzo said his usual schtick, and a pumped up Minnesota crowd spoke in unison with him. Amore then mouthed off about his opponent until "Second Coming" hit, and the crowd gave a mixed reaction as Seth Rollins made his way down the ramp. When Rollins had entered the ring, the referee called for the bell and Rollins went after Enzo, going for a clothesline. Enzo ducked out of the way, then hit Rollins with a series of punches. Enzo whipped Rollins against the ropes, before hitting a dropkick. Both men got to their feet and Enzo hit Rollins with a knee to the midsection, then followed it up with a swinging neckbreaker. He hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1... 2... kickout!

Jerry Lawler: A strong start by Enzo Amore!

Enzo got to his feet and stomped on Rollins several times, before picking him up and setting him up for a suplex. Rollins blocked it, then countered with a suplex of his own. Both men got to their feet and Rollins hit an enzuigiri, then whipped Enzo into the corner. He ran at Enzo and hit a corner forearm smash, then as Enzo staggered out of the corner, Rollins lifted him up and hit a turnbuckle powerbomb! Enzo fell to the mat, and Rollins hooked the leg. The referee counted – 1... 2... kickout!

Jim Ross: Another near fall! This time Rollins gets a two count!

Rollins pulled Enzo to his feet and hit him with some more right hands, then whipped him against the ropes. Enzo held onto the ropes, then as Rollins ran towards him, Enzo pulled down on the top rope, sending Rollins over the top rope.

Jerry Lawler: It looks like Enzo is practising for the Royal Rumble match, JR!

As Rollins fell to the outside, Enzo watched him, waiting for him to stand. When Rollins was back on his feet, Enzo hit a springboard crossbody! Both men were down outside the ring, and the referee began counting – 1... 2... 3... 4... at the count of 5, Enzo got to his feet. He picked Rollins up and slammed his head against the mat, then threw him back into the ring. Enzo went to the top rope and hit a diving elbow drop, then hooked the leg once more. The referee counted – 1... 2... kickout!

Jim Ross: Enzo is putting an impressive performance in tonight, King!

The crowd were fully behind Enzo, and began chanting his name. Spurred on by the momentum of the crowd, Enzo pulled Rollins to his feet and hit a series of punches, then whipped him against the ropes. Enzo went for a clothesline, but Rollins ducked out of the way, ran against the opposing set of ropes, then hit Enzo with the Sling Blade. Enzo got to his feet and Rollins set him up for a single underhook front facelock drop, but Enzo blocked it and countered with a northern lights suplex. Enzo then pulled Rollins to the corner and went to the top rope, hitting the Tornado DDT!

Jerry Lawler: Certified G!

Enzo hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1... 2... 3! "SAWFT is a Sin" hit and Enzo celebrated his victory, then made his way to the back.

MATCH FOUR

Dolph Ziggler' music hit inside the Arena. The crowd welcomed “The Showoff” with open arm, and he went to the ring to await his opponent. Dean Ambrose made his way up the ramp. The fans are clearly going to be an "Ambrose crowd" tonight in Minneapolis.

The bell sounded to make this one official. The fans immediately chanted for Ambrose and the two went at each other with a vengeance, as promised. The fans start chanting “Ziggler Sucks! Ziegler Sucks!"

Ziggler cut Ambrose off early and started knocking him around a bit, but it wasn’t long before Ambrose took over control of the offense. Ambrose started to focus his attack on the arm of Ziggler.

Dolph Ziggler started fighting back and he gained the upper hand after blasting Ambrose with a sit-out powerbomb. Ambrose and Ziggler went to the top rope and Ambrose ended up powerbombing Ziggler off. Ziggler landed hard. Ambrose then went for a flying cross-body onto Ziggler off the top rope, but Ziggler caught him coming down with a big punch! Ambrose was out!

Ziggler stalked Ambrose and waited for him to get up. He went for another knock out punch, but Ambrose avoided it. Ambrose went for Dirty Deeds, but Ziggler avoided that. Ziggler blasted Ambrose with the ZigZag for a near fall. Both guys are down.

Jerry Lawler: This guys are giving it their all here.

Ziggler went for another spear but Ambrose caught him coming in with a big shot. He then whipped Ziggler into the ring post inside the ring. Ambrose delivered his Dirty Deeds finisher and covered Ziggler, but Ziggler managed to kick out before the count of three. Both guys were down again.

Jim Ross: I can’t believe he kicked out again!

Both guys got back to their feet, and this hot crowd started chanting "Yay!" and "Boo!" over and over as Ziggler and Ambrose traded punches. Ambrose runs at Ziggler but Ziggler caught him coming in with another ZigZag. 1-2-3.

Jim Ross: Incredible! There’s a win for Dolph Ziggler! What a debut!

MATCH FIVE


Jim Ross: It’s time now for our Main Event.

Mankind had made his entrance during the commercial break, and Lawler took a moment to set up the match.

Jerry Lawler: Kyle O’Reilly will defend his Breakout Championship against Mankind!

O’Reilly came to the ring without Vertex. He rushed the ring and he and Mankind began trading blows immediately. O'Reilly buried his shoulder in Mankind's midsection in the corner, but Mankind dug in with some knees to O'Reilly's chest and Mankind sent him to the outside.

Mankind went for the Suicide Dive, O'Reilly hit him with a big forearm, and Mankind went limp. O'Reilly sent Mankind into the ring where he immediately went to work, locking in a cravat. Mankind fought out of it, but O'Reilly drilled Mankind right back down to the mat, mounting him and laying in with a series of right hands. O'Reilly locked in another cravat, but Mankind fought out of it. Mankind beat O'Reilly down to the mat. When he was back on his feet, Mankind goes for a snap mare but O'Reilly threw him off.

Mankind takes O'Reilly to the corner where he slapped him in the face and stompped him. Mankind picked up O'Reilly and laid in with a big forearm, but O'Reilly began fighting back. O'Reilly charged Mankind, but Mankind caught him, shouldered him, and dropped him down on his knees. Mankind locked in a leg bar, but O'Reilly was able to grab the ropes to break the hold. Mankind began to lay into O'Reilly with a series of kicks and when O'Reilly grabbed the leg, Mankind rolled over into another leg submission. O'Reilly grabbed the ropes, breaking the hold again.

Mankind locked in a spinning toe hold on O'Reilly, wrenching away at his knee. O'Reilly was able to counter into a head/arm lock combo, but Mankind grabbed the ropes forcing a break. Both men got back to their feet where Mankind slapped O'Reilly, and O'Reilly responded with a big T-bone suplex.

Jim Ross: What a move! The strength of our Breakout Champion!

O'Reilly hit a big double arm DDT, but it was only good for a two count. O'Reilly didn’t relent as he turned right back to Mankind, laying in with a clubbing blow across the back. O'Reilly sent Mankind across the ring, but Mankind came back with a big belly to back suplex and a huge clothesline, but when he went for the pin O'Reilly kicked out at a two count.

O'Reilly got back up only to be sent into the corner and hit with a big open palm thrust. Mankind went to the middle rope and leapt out on to O'Reilly with a huge flying knee but he still couldn’t keep O'Reilly down for three. Mankind picked O'Reilly up and hit him with a big powerbomb, but O'Reilly kicked out at two. Mankind transitioned right into a big single leg Boston crab, but O'Reilly grabbed onto the ropes again, forcing the break. Mankind stood up to catch O'Reilly with a big blow to the face. Both men traded slaps before Mankind hit a big head butt and O'Reilly hit a big spear.

The referee began the count and both men are up at an 8 count. Mankind and O'Reilly traded right hands in the middle of the ring with O'Reilly getting the upper hand. Mankind was able to come back with several big slaps, sending O'Reilly back into the corner. Mankind sat O'Reilly on the top rope, but O'Reilly fought it off. Mankind came up behind O'Reilly, trying to lock in a choke, but O'Reilly backed Mankind up into the corner to break the hold. Mankind charged O'Reilly with the Mandible Claw, working O’Reilly down to his back and getting the 1..2..3!

Jim Ross: There you have!

Jerry Lawler: Mankind is the Breakout Champion once again!
