Mauro Ranallo: Good evening and welcome to Warfare! Tonight, we are live from San Francisco as the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments continue!
Nigel McGuinness: Kicking things off, we've got Ronda Rousey versus Eva Marie!
Eva Marie came to the ring first, followed by Ronda Rousey. When both women were in the ring, the referee called for the bell. Rousey grabbed Eva Marie and went for the armbar, but Eva Marie rolled her up! She grabbed the ropes, but the referee didn't see it and began counting – 1... 2... 3!
Mauro Ranallo: MAMMA MIA!
Nigel McGuinness: I don't believe it, Mauro!
Eva Marie rolled out of the ring and headed up the ramp, leaving a furious Ronda Rousey in the ring.
Mauro Ranallo: Up next, Jimmy Havoc returns to EBWF to take on Damien Sandow and Andrade Cien Almas!
"Hallelujah" hit and the crowd gave a mixed reaction as Damien Sandow made his way to the ring. When Sandow was in the ring, "Making a Difference" hit and the crowd booed as Andrade Cien Almas headed to the ring. After Andrade had entered the ring, "I Hope You Suffer" hit and the crowd cheered as Jimmy Havoc stepped out onto the stage. Havoc walked down the ramp confidently, rolled into the ring and stared at his opponents. The referee called for the bell and Andrade charged towards Havoc, going for a clothesline. Havoc ducked out of the way, then grabbed Andrade and threw him out of the ring. As Havoc turned around, Damien Sandow hit him with a series of punches, then went to whip him against the ropes. Havoc reversed the Irish whip, sending Sandow into the ropes. As Sandow ran back towards him, Havoc hit a dropkick, then as both men got to their feet, Havoc hit a fisherman DDT. He hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1... 2... Sandow kicked out. As Havoc got to his feet, he stomped on Sandow several times, then pulled him to his feet and whipped him into the corner. Havoc signalled for a corner clothesline, but before he could hit it, Andrade re-entered the ring and attacked Havoc from behind, hitting him in the back of the head then throwing him out of the ring. Andrade then charged towards Sandow, hitting him with a high knee, then as Sandow staggered out of the corner, Andrade set him up for a suplex. Sandow blocked it, countering with a reverse STO into the corner. Sandow climbed to the top rope, and signalled for an elbow drop, but before he could hit it, Jimmy Havoc climbed onto the ring apron and shoved Sandow off the turnbuckle. Sandow landed on Andrade, then Havoc climbed to the top rope and hit both Sandow and Andrade with a Swanton bomb!
Nigel McGuinness: Incredible athleticism from Jimmy Havoc! He's showing he's more than just a death match wrestler, Mauro!
Havoc covered Andrade, and the referee counted – 1... 2... kickout! Havoc then covered Sandow, and the referee counted once more – 1... 2... Sandow kicked out! Havoc looked frustrated, and he dragged Sandow to his feet, slamming his head off the turnbuckle. Havoc punched Sandow in the corner several times, then turned his attention to Andrade, who was slowly getting to his feet. Havoc set Andrade up for the Go Home Driver, but Andrade blocked it, countering with a sitout jawbreaker. Andrade then charged at Sandow, hitting him with a corner dropkick. Sandow fell into a sitting position, and Andrade charged towards him once more, hitting a double knee smash!
Mauro Ranallo: This could be it, Nigel! Is Andrade about to advance to the second round?
Andrade hooked the leg, and the referee counted – 1... 2... Havoc broke up the count! Havoc dragged Andrade towards the center of the ring, then hit him with an Acid Rainmaker! He hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1... 2... 3!
Nigel McGuinness: It's over! Jimmy Havoc wins!
Havoc celebrated as Warfare went to commercial.
Mauro Ranallo: We have women's action for you right now as this match will determine which of these ladies will continue on in the EVWF Queen of the Ring tournament!
Nigel McGuinness: And both of these women are new to EBWF, so both have something to prove. This should be a good one!
Britt's theme hit and the crowd gave a mixed reaction as the newcomer made her way down to the ring. She looked primed for victory as she got into the ring and turned toward the entrance ramp, awaiting Lacey Evans. The Sassy Southern Belle's music hit and she came to the ring with yet more mixed reactions. She waved out to the crowd and got in under the bottom rope. She removed her skirt to reveal her wrestling trunks underneath, and the referee rang the bell.
Mauro Ranallo: Here we go!
Baker bailed at the bell. Evans gave chase and brought her back inside and Baker put boots to her in the ropes. Lacey hit a Baseball slide, smashing Britt's face into the apron. Lacey hit a hard knee and then a slingshot into a schoolgirl for one. Lacey was relentless and followed up with a small package, again just one. Britt Baker tried to follow up with a folding press but she put her legs on the ropes for leverage. The referee caught her and admonished her. Britt looked scandalized.
Nigel McGuinness: Good officiating there.
Britt hit a drop toehold into the ropes, and then hit a double axehandle, choking Lacey over the ropes. She covered her.
Mauro Ranallo: Britt Baker is showing some real aggression here.
Britt followed up with a kneeling armbar, then an elbow strike. She covered Lacey again for two. Evans dug deep to turn things around and countered with a schoolgirl. Baker hammered her with knees and dumped her to the apron for a DDT over the middle rope but Lacey shoved her away. Lacey hit a right hand from the apron, and smashed Britt's face into the turnbuckle.
Nigel McGuinness: Lacey showing some aggression of her own.
Lacey ran across the ring and hit a running kick that caused Baker to fall into the corner. Lacey hit the Bronco Buster and she then dragged Britt into position. Lacey headed up top and did a double jump moonsault, but Britt's knees were up!
Mauro Ranallo: That might have Lacey's last chance.
Britt got Lacey up, and hit shoulder thrusts in the corner. Britt did a back roll, but Evans got the drop toehold into the turnbuckles! Britt struggled to her feet, and Lacey hit the Women's Right.
Nigel McGuinness: What a devastating punch!
Lacey went for the pin.
Mauro Ranallo: Lacey Evans did it! She moves on in the Queen of the Ring tournament!
Nigel McGuinness: Welcome to EBWF Lacey Evans!
The scene cut to inside the arena and out first came Ron Killings. Drew Gulak was out next followed by CM Punk.
Mauro Ranallo: It's been a little while since we've seen CM Punk.
Nigel McGuinness: Let's see if he can get some momentum in this King of the Ring Tournament.
Christy Hemme did formal ring introductions and the bell rang and Killings struck Punk while Gulak hit Killings from behind. Killings pushed Gulak off and went back to Punk. Gulak unloaded on Killings but got stopped. Gulak and Punk teamed up to hit a series of kicks on Killings. They took Killings down with a bunch of kicks and then both dropkicked him. Gulak leapt from the apron but Killings uppercut him in the throat. Killings rammed Punk back into the ring post twice. Killings wrapped Punk around the ring post and pulled his ribs into it. Killings tried for another pin attempt on Punk. Punk kicked out, and Killings hit a dropkick to the face, but still only ended up with another 2 count. Killings locked on the body scissors. Punk fought out with elbows. Punk looked to be coming back but Gulak came in from out of nowhere and dropkicked him in the corner. Gulak went for Killings but got caught with a big sideslam for 2.
Nigel McGuinness: Killings almost stole it there.
Killings and Gulak stayed on each other. Killings went down and to the floor after a big kick to the face. Punk got up and chopped Gulak. Gulak stopped Punk with a big knee to the gut. Gulak dropped knees on Punk and covered him for another pin attempt. Gulak got a double underhook suplex. Gulak went to the top but Punk stopped him. Punk climbed back up but Killings pulled him down again. Killings went for the superplex yet again but Punk stopped him. They traded shots until Gulak took them down with a double dropkick. Gulak carried on with kicks to Punk and Killings as they both sat on their knees.
Mauro Ranallo: The crowd is behind Drew Gulak!
Killings went down from a kick but Punk ducked it and rolled Gulak up for 2. Punk made a comeback and hit the high knee in the corner. He nailed one on Killings in the opposite corner. Nigel McGuinness: CM Punk has done it! CM Punk moves on in the King of the Ring Tournament.
Mauro Ranallo: We'll find out who he will face, Slyck Wagner Brown, Elias Samson or Randy Orton, later tonight!
Winter versus Zelina Vega ended in a double countout after Winter suplexed Zelina Vega off the ring apron to the outside.
Mauro Ranallo: Welcome back! Before the commercial break, we saw Winter and Zelina Vega go to a draw after a double countout! During the commercial break, we were informed that both superstars have been eliminated from the tournament, which means Lacey Evans gets a bye and books her place in the semi-final!
Nigel McGuinness: We'll find out next week who Lacey will face in the semi-final as Becky Lynch, who received a bye in the first round, takes on Eva Marie in the quarter finals!
Mauro Ranallo: Up next though, it's time for our main event – the sixth first round match in the King of the Ring tournament. "The Viper" Randy Orton takes on Slyck Wagner Brown and Elias Samson!
Elias was already in the ring, and after taunting the crowd he tried to play a song for them. Before he could hit a note, "I'm The Man" hit and Slyck Wagner Brown came out to a mixed reaction from the crowd. When Slyck was in the ring, "Counting Bodies Like Sheep" hit and the crowd cheered as Randy Orton headed to the ring. Once Orton had entered the ring, the referee called for the bell. Randy Orton rolled out of the ring, and leaned against the barrier at ringside.
Mauro Ranallo: It looks like Randy Orton is going to let Slyck and Elias fight this out!
Nigel McGuinness: It's strategy, Mauro... he's conserving his energy!
Elias glared at Randy Orton, who merely smirked. Elias shrugged, then charged towards Slykc and went for a big boot. Slyck ducked out of the way and grabbed Elias from behind, hitting a back drop. Slyck stomped on Elias several times, then tried to pull Elias to his feet, but Elias countered with an uppercut. As Slyck staggered backwards, Elias hit him with a discus clothesline, then dragged him to his feet and hit him with a suplex. As Elias got to his feet, he signalled for the Drift Away, but Randy Orton slid back into the ring and grabbed Elias, throwing him out of the ring!
Mauro Ranallo: The Viper pounces!
Nigel McGuinness: I told you, Mauro... strategy!
Orton grabbed Slyck and dragged him towards the edge of the ring, then hit a rope-hung DDT. He hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1... 2... kickout! Orton got to his feet and stomped on Slyck several times, but then Elias re-entered the ring, grabbing Orton and hitting him with a series of punches. Orton fought back with some right hands of his own, then went to whip him against the ropes... but Elias reversed the Irish whip, sending Orton into the ropes, before hitting a dropkick! Both men got to their feet, and Elias hit a sitout powerbomb, then hooked both legs. The referee counted – 1... 2... Slyck interrupted the count! Slyck pulled Elias to his feet and threw him into the corner, then ran at him, hitting a corner clothesline. As Elias stumbled out of the corner, Slyck hit another clothesline, this time sending Elias over the top rope. Slyck then turned his attention back to Randy Orton, who was back on his feet. Orton grinned, then dared Slyck to come and fight him. Slyck nodded, and charged towards Orton. The two men met in the center the ring and exchanged right hands back and forth. After gaining the upper hand, Orton set Slyck up for a suplex, but as he went to lift him up Slyck blocked it, countering with a suplex of his own. Both men got to their feet, and Slyck set Orton up for the Slyck Spike. Orton blocked it, countering with a back body drop, then as Slyck got to his feet, Orton hit an inverted headlock backbreaker. Orton began pounding the mat, signalling for the RKO, but as he got to his feet, Elias re-entered the ring with his guitar. Orton turned around, and Elias swung the guitar towards him... but Orton ducked out of the way, and Elias hit Slyck instead! Slyck fell to the mat, and Orton grabbed Elias, hitting him with an RKO! He hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1... 2... 3!
