DARK MATCH

"Basket Case" by Green Day hit and the crowd gave a mixed reaction as Matt Sydal made his way to the ring. Once Sydal had entered the ring, "Live in Fear" hit and the crowd booed as Bray Wyatt headed to the ring. When both men were in the ring, they looked each other up and down. As the referee called for the bell, Wyatt charged towards Sydal, pummelling him with a series of punches. Wyatt then took Sydal down with a clothesline, and as Sydal got back to his feet, Wyatt hit him with a scoop slam. As soon as Sydal hit the mat, Wyatt ran against the ropes, hitting a running senton. Wyatt made the cover and the referee counted - 1...2… kickout!

Wyatt dragged Sydal to his feet and whipped him against the ropes, but as Sydal reached the ropes he grabbed the top rope, springboarding back towards Wyatt and taking him down with a crossbody. Both men got to their feet and Sydal went for a hurricanrana, but Wyatt countered with a powerbomb and hooked both legs. The referee counted - 1... 2... kickout!

Wyatt pulled Sydal to his feet once more, this time whipping him into the corner. Wyatt charged towards Sydal, going for a bodypress, but at the last moment Sydal moved out of the way, causing Wyatt to smash into the turnbuckle. As Wyatt staggered out of the corner, Sydal hit a roundhouse kick, flooring his opponent. Sydal then hit a standing moonsault, and hooked the leg. The referee counted – 1... 2... Wyatt kicked out!

Sydal got to his feet and stomped on Wyatt several times, trying to keep him grounded. The man who called himself "Reborn" then went to the top rope, going for the Shooting Sydal Press, but Wyatt rolled out of the way. Both men got to their feet, Sydal clutching his ribs as he did so. Wyatt hit Sydal with a stiff kick to the midsection then turned him over, hitting Sister Abigail! He hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1... 2... 3!

MATCH ONE

“You gotta keep ‘em separated.” Raven walks down the ramp carrying a trashcan filled with kendo sticks.

Joey Styles: It’s ECW revisited as Raven comes down to the ring to face Cactus Jack.

Corey Graves: And he has brought some tools of the trade with him, it seems.

“CRASH!” Cactus Jack walks out in his torn flannel, brandishing a barb-wired baseball bat.

Joey Styles: And not to be outdone, Cactus Jack has brought his own friend to ringside with him.

As Jack stepped up onto the apron, Raven charged with the trash can and knocked him to the floor. He threw can out on top of Jack and followed to ringside. He picked up a kendo stick and cracked it against Cactus’ back a few times. Jack struggled to his feet and Raven took another swing, but only connected with the apron. Jack picked up his baseball bat and swung it into Raven’s gut, tearing off shreds of Raven’s Misfits t-shirt. He then slammed the wired end into Raven’s face, knocking him down.

Jack crawled up onto the apron and ran the length before jumping off to deliver his hipbuster elbow. Raven rolled out of the way and Jack crashed onto the concrete once again. Raven brained him with the trash can and rolled him into the ring. Jack recovered and the two began to throw haymakers at each other.

Corey Graves: I gotta say, Joey, this is really making me feel like a kid again.

The two continued to trade punches. Jack got the advantage and pushed Raven into the corner, continuing to rain down right hands. Raven sunk down to a seated position, dazed. Jack walked back to the center of the ring and charged to knee Raven in the face, Raven dodged and Jack’s knee collided with the pole. Raven knocked him to the mat with a clothesline. As Jack crawled across the mat trying to get back to a vertical base, Raven kicked him repeatedly in the ribs. Jack tried to punch him, Raven sidestepped and put him back down with a Russian legsweep. He mounted Jack with more vicious punches.

Joey Styles: Raven is pushing the referee’s five count, which is well within his rights in this hardcore rules match.

Corey Graves: Both of these men are driven to prove they are still relevant in today’s EBWF, emotions are definitely running high.

Raven finally broke off. He lifted Cactus off the mat and put him into DDT position. Jack fought off with punches to the gut and then started to lay into Raven with skull against skull headbutts, each connecting with a sick thud. Raven fell to his knees and Jack wrapped up his arms.

Joey Styles: Double arm DDT! There’s the cover!

1... 2... 3!

DING DING!

Christy Hemme: Here is your winner, CACTUS JACK!

Corey Graves: That was more like a car crash than a match, Joey. Short, violent, and devastating.

Joey Styles: Raven and Cactus Jack each sending a message to the younger stars in the back. That is how you will have to fight them to take them down.

MATCH TWO

Christy Hemme: The following contest is a semi-final match in the King of the Ring tournament, and is scheduled for one fall!

“You think you know me.” Edge steps out onto the ramp in his trenchcoat and gets the full pyro treatment and a hero’s welcome.

Christy Hemme: Introducing first, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, weighing in at 245 pounds, the Rated R Superstar, EDGE!

Joey Styles: One of the most decorated stars in EBWF history, Edge is looking to add one more thing to his legacy here tonight.

“Let’s go!” Sami Zayn dances out of the entryway to a similarly huge pop. He rallies the crowd as he jumps down the ramp and into the ring.

Christy Hemme: And his opponent, from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, weighing in at 205 pounds, SAMI ZAYN!

Corey Graves: Sami Zayn is also no stranger to success here in EBWF, but since his return from injury things have definitely been going his way. This could be the Year of Sami Zayn, and winning the King of the Ring would cement that fact.

DING DING!

Edge attempted to get the jump on Zayn at the bell but got brought to the mat with a deep Ricky Steamboat armdrag. Discombobulated, he popped off the ground and stumbled into a second before retreating to the ropes. He shook it off and approached more cautiously on this third time. They locked up, with Edge grabbing a headlock. Zayn pushed him off into the ropes and tried to catch him with a dropkick. Edge hung back and let Zayn crash to the mat then caught him with a flying forearm when he got back up. Edge tried to get him a second time, Zayn ducked, hit the ropes, tried for his own lariat that Edge ducked, and Edge caught him with a spinning heel kick on the rebound. Edge thought he had the advantage as he picked up Zayn but Zayn grabbed him in a wristlock and ran to the corner, leaping up into a tornado DDT.

Joey Styles: These men are going a mile a minute here tonight!

Corey Graves: That just shows you how prestigious the King of the Ring is, Joey, these men are desperate to wear that crown!

Zayn went on a flurry with some dropkicks and lariats until Edge stopped his momentum with a flapjack, slamming his face into the mat. Zayn swung at Edge, but Edge dodged behind him and snapped his head down with the Edgecution. He reached over to grab the leg but barely got a two count. Sami fought back and dumped Edge over the ropes with a clothesline. He ran the ring and leapt onto Edge, squashing him with a plancha to the delight of the crowd. He pulled Edge up but Edge pushed him into the ring steps. Edge pulled him up into a vertical suplex and dropped him ribs first across the barricade. With Sami dangling, Edge laid a big boot to the side of his head and let him tumble to the floor before rolling into the ring.

Joey Styles: The Ultimate Opportunist strikes again, he may just squeak by to the finals with a count out victory!

Corey Graves: The referee is already up to 5, Sami is in trouble!

8!

9!

Joey Styles: He makes it right at the buzzer, Sami Zayn rolling back into the ring with less than a second to spare.

Corey Graves: But Edge is waiting for him, and he’s pulling him into the center of the ring. IMPALER!

1!

2!

KICK OUT!

Edge sat in the corner and called for Zayn to get to his feet, crazed look in his eyes. When Sami was up, Edge took off like a bullet. Sami dodged the spear and wrapped him arm behind Edge, reversing his momentum and lifting him up.

Joey Styles: BLUE THUNDER BOMB!

1!

2!

Kick out!

Sami collapsed to the mat in disbelief. The two men fought to their knees, each getting “yays” when they swung on their punch exchange. They continued up to wobbly feet, each blow threatening to knock them both over. Sami began to block Edge’s punches, still connecting with his own, building up steam. Edge took one more big swing and Sami caught his arm and put him position for the exploder suplex into the corner. Sami retreated to the other corner and psyched himself up as Edge pulled himself to his feet.

Corey Graves: Here comes the Helluva Kick!

Joey Styles: SPEAR! Edge cuts off Sami to connect with the spear! Cover!

1!

2!

2.9!

Corey Graves: Zayn kicks out! Zayn kicked out from the spear and Edge doesn’t know what to do next!

Joey Styles: Looks like he’s picking him up for another Impaler.

Corey Graves: KOJI CLUTCH! ZAYN PULLS EDGE DOWN INTO THE KOJI CLUTCH!

Joey Styles: They’re in the center of the ring, there is nowhere for Edge to go!

Corey Graves: He has to tap! Edge taps!

DING DING!

Christy Hemme: Here is your winner, Sami Zayn!

Joey Styles: The comeback trail of Sami Zayn continues through to the finals of the King of the Ring tournament, here tonight.

Corey Graves: But his next roadblock is going to be either Randy Orton or The Miz, and he is in rough shape, Joey.

MATCH THREE

Joey Styles: Coming up now we have a tag team match up for the women’s tag team championships! The formidable champions Sasha Banks and Summer Rae will be taking on the dynamic duo of Blue Pants and Bayley.

Corey Graves: That’s right Joey. I’m not sure where Blue Pants came from, but she seems to have a pretty close relationship with Bayley, so I’m expecting this pair to give Sasha and Summer a run for their money.

All four women were waiting in the ring, the referee called for the bell and the match was under way. Banks and Bayley left the ring, leaving Blue Pants and Summer Rae to start things off.

They began the match with a lock up which Summer took the early advantage of with an arm bar. However with some theatrical flips Blue Pants managed to counter the move and take Rae to the mat with an armbar of her own. In the corner Bayley jumped up and down starting a “let’s go Blue Pants” chant clearly to the displeasure of Sasha in the other corner. Summer Rae kipped up to her feet and took Blue Pants to the mat with a side headlock.

Joey Styles: The champions taking the early advantage here.

Making her way back to her feet Blue Pants sent Summer into the ropes and took her down with an arm drag. Rae bounced to her feet and was taken down with another arm drag. Summer rolled to her corner and tagged in Sasha Banks. The Boss charged towards Blue Pants, who took Banks down with two arm drags identical to those that took down Summer. Banks sat against the ropes recovering as Blue Pants tagged in the doctor of huganomics, Bayley. Sasha flew toward the newly tagged in diva with a clothesline, but Bayley ducked and Banks crashed into Blue Pants, knocking her to the floor. As Bayley was momentarily distracted Sasha hit her with a running high knee.

Corey Graves: Nice there for Banks, that’s why she’s in charge around here Styles.

Sasha pulled Bayley to her feet hitting her with a suplex, and with a graceful backwards roll pinned her, 1...2… kick out! Sasha whipped Bayley into her corner and while Banks taunted Blue Pants, Summer Rae took advantage. Choking Bayley as the referee was distracted trying to stop Blue Pants entering the ring. As Summer stopped her attacked Banks ran to the corner and flipped Bayley out of the corner with a monkey flip. She tagged in Summer who dived on Bayley for the cover, 1...2.. and Bayley just managed to get her shoulder up. Rae argued with the referee for a moment about his slow count before putting Bayley in a sleeper hold.

Corey Graves: The champions showing right now that they are well and truly on the same page here. Cutting off Bayley from her partner and wearing her down.

On the apron Blue Pants began clapping, the crowd joining in. This re-energised Bayley, who got back to her feet and delivered two stiff elbows to Summer’s midriff causing her to break the hold. Bayley took this moment of vulnerability to deliver a drop kick to Summer. Both ladies were laid out on the floor, crawling to their corner trying to make the tag.

Summer made it to her corner first tagging in Sasha. She made it to the other side of the ring too late as Bayley tagged in Blue Pants to the delight of the crowd. Using the top rope for leverage Blue Pants flew into the ring, but quick as a flash Sasha took flight herself and caught Blue Pants with a drop kick in mid-air. The crowd were stunned by the amazing spot and Sasha played to the crowd for a moment. As she moved in for a cover Blue Pants rolled her up in a small packaged for a pin, 1...2... Summer Rae from out of nowhere came in and broke up the pin!

Joey Styles: I thought Blue Pants had it there!

Blue Pants reached up and tagged in Bayley while Sasha was in shock. With Bayley in the ring all four ladies were now ready to square off. Blue Pants charged at Summer Rae who was on the opposite side of the ring. Using her own momentum Summer spun around and threw Blue Pants out of the ring. This time Bayley followed up speeding towards Summer who tried to defend herself with a high boot, but Bayley stopped herself at the last moment to avoid the blow. Sensing something wasn’t right, Bayley turned and Sasha Banks was about to spear her. Bayley side stepped Banks who ended up slamming into her own partner Summer Rae!

Corey Graves: I don’t believe it, Sasha just speared her own partner!

Sasha got to her feet stunned at her own accidental action. As she spun around Bayley hit the Bayley to Belly suplex.

Joey Styles: BAYLEY TO BELLY! BAYLEY TO BELLY! This one is over Corey!

1...2... Banks lifted her shoulder up for the pin.

Corey Graves: Try again Bayley. The champs are still in this.

Bayley sat for a moment, trying to plan her next move. She got to her feet first as Banks started stirring on the mat. Bayley went to whip Banks to the ropes but was countered. Banks leapfrogged, and when Bayley reached the ropes she held on, faking Sasha out. Instead of charging Bayley, Sasha taunted her and Blue Pants. Bayley took advantage and hit Sasha with an elbow. Bayley whipped Sasha to her corner, but Sasha hit Blue Pants with a forearm smash off the corner, and went to leap off the turnbuckle to dive into Bayley, but was caught in a bearhug.

Joey Styles: Another one! Could this be it!

Banks shook free and spun Bayley around for a backbreaker, but Bayley broke free and Sasha fell to her back on the mat. Bayley tagged in Blue Pants who was hot on the apron, barely giving time for Banks to tag in Summer Rae. Blue Pants caught Summer with a dropkick to the knees as she entered the ring. Banks had rolled out and was recuperating on the floor outside the ring, making her way back to her team’s corner of the apron. Meanwhile, Blue Pants had dragged Summer Rae to the ropes and was hitting a flurry of chops and kicks, connecting with a stiff roundhouse kick to the side of Summer’s head to end the combo.

Joey Styles: A little karate 101 from Blue Pants there.

Corey Graves: That kick wasn’t even centered.

Blue Pants picked Summer Rae up and hit an atomic drop before running the ropes and connecting with a shining wizard to Summer Rae. Blue Pants dragged Summer to the center of the ring and called for her senton finisher. The crowd was going wild, but not exactly for what was happening in the ring, but rather outside. Suddenly the cameras panned back to reveal two of the three Moonlight Dollz running down the entrance ramp towards the ring.

Joey Styles: Wh- wait a minute, what are the Moonlight Dollz doing coming out here?

Corey Graves: I say the more women, the merrier!

Zahra Schreiber was spotted trying to stop Gionna Daddio initially as the Mean Girls were about to lose their EBWF tag titles to Blue Pants and Bayley. Zahra grabbed onto Gionna’s arm but Gionna simply wiggled her way out of Zahra’s grip. Gionna slid into the ring in one quick motion, a determined look on her face she delivered a stiff forearm to Blue Pants leaving her laid out on the mat next to Summer, before taking a dive through the ropes onto Sasha Banks, who was just starting to get to her feet on the outside of the ring. The referee signalled for the bell, ending the match in a DQ. Bayley came in and rolled Blue Pants out, checking on her partner.

Corey Graves: Gionna getting revenge on Sasha Banks from attacking her a few weeks ago!

Joey Styles: They couldn’t have waited a few more minutes to solve this? They ruined a perfectly good Women’s Tag Title match!

Zahra Schreiber shook her head and entered the ring moments later, however, she stopped when she approached Summer Rae. Zahra dished out several stern kicks to Summer who yelped out in pain. Gionna continued to attack Sasha Banks on the outside of the ring, connecting with several lefts and rights before slamming her head down against the floor. Security ran down the ramp to break up the fight, separating Gionna from Sasha and Zahra from Summer.

Christy Hemme: Your winners by disqualification, Bayley and Blue Pants!

Security finally managed to separate all the women still around the ring, while the winning team back peddled up the ramp.

Christy Hemme: ...And still your EBWF women’s tag team champions… Summer Rae and Sasha Banks!

The scene faded out to commercial for Sacrifice, catching Blue Pants and Bayley looking at the ring in disappointment as they almost had the titles.

MATCH FOUR

Joey Styles: Right now we have the King of the Ring semi-final between two of the most decorated stars in EBWF history, Randy Orton and The Miz. What are we expecting from from this one Corey?

Corey Graves: Joey it goes without saying both of these guys have potential to be crowned King of the Ring. So we’ll see two guys giving 110% in order to win it and don’t expect either man to give up easily.

Both men were waiting in the ring as the referee called for the bell. There was electricity in the air as both men took a moment to soak it in as they circled each other. The longer they delayed starting the match the more the crowds excitement built. Both The Miz and Orton gave each other impressed looks when out of nowhere Randy Orton went for an RKO. The Miz only just managed to duck out of the way and rolled out of the ring, the crowd obviously delighted with the surprise start.

Joey Styles: That’s what you get from the Viper, he can hit that RKO at any point and it’s over!

Miz was walking around the outside, speaking to the fans at ringside who were booing him and shouting for him to get back in the ring. Using his years of experience Randy snuck out of the ring and as Miz stepped around one ring post he was greeted with a stiff forearm from Orton, who then rolled him back into the ring. As Miz got to his feet Orton went for a trademark dropkick but the Miz batted him away sending him to the mat and followed up with a knee drop, and went for a pin 1... kickout.

Corey Graves: Only a one count Styles!

Miz picked up Orton and whipped him into the corner and followed it up with a big elbow. Dragging the Viper from the corner and dropped him with a back breaker. Taking advantage he sat Orton up and applied a chin lock and begun to shout at the referee to check if he submitted.

Joey Styles: Real pressure being applied here Corey by The Miz.

Orton slowly fought his way back to his feet and broke the hold with some elbows to The Miz’s gut. Sending the Miz into the ropes Orton took control with a big clothesline. As Miz bounced to his feet following the blow Randy Orton body slammed him back to the canvas and landed an elbow drop to his chest. Orton picks up The Miz and pushes him into the corner and mounted him with right hands. As he reached his tenth punch Miz lifted Orton up and dropped Orton face first into the top turnbuckle. As Randy staggered out The Miz went from The Skull Crushing Finale, but Orton slipped out of the way before he could be slammed to the mat.

Joey Styles: The Miz looking to finish this one!

As the Miz moved towards his fallen opponent Orton hit him with a European uppercut. With a boot to the midsection he then planted the Miz to the mat with a DDT. With The Miz on the mat Orton began to prepare for his trademark punt kick to the head. The crowd's excitement grew as slowly The Miz began to get to his feet. Orton flew towards him foot first, only for The Miz to move at the last moment. Randy stopped his momentum using the middle turnbuckle, he turned to face The Miz and went for another RKO, but once again The Miz pushed him away. Orton came back with clothesline, which The Miz ducked and out of nowhere hit The Skull Crushing Finale!

Corey Graves: SKULL CRUSHING FINALE! This one is over!

1...2...3!! The referee called for the bell.

Joey Styles: The Miz makes it to the King of the Ring final! He rode his luck in this one, but he marches on, one step closer to be crowned the King!

The Miz rolled out of the ring, with his arms in the air as he staggered up the aisle to prepare for his appearance in the final.

MATCH FIVE

After Jimmy Havoc and Shinsuke Nakamura had made their way to the ring for the next match, "Superhuman" hit and the crowd booed Baron Corbin joined Styles and Graves at the commentary booth.

Corey Graves: Baron Corbin, who are you backing for this one?

Baron Corbin: Let's just say I'm backing the one who hasn't taken the cowardly way out...

Joey Styles: Are you seriously calling our Breakout Champion a coward?

Baron Corbin: Costing the biggest guy in the match a shot at your title what would you call that?

Corey Graves: I call it smart!

In the ring Havoc started the match with intent, going straight at Nakamura with a stiff forearm smash, he added another two before Nakamura struck back with a forearm smash of his own. Back and forth this went with each man connecting six blows, Havoc took a step back then shifted forward to connect a shot with momentum, this connected hard but it didn't knock Nakamura down. In fact, Nakamura smiled before connecting a hard forearm smash that sent Havoc to the mat.

Joey Styles: Come on... Who in their right mind willingly trades forearms with the King of Strong Style?

Baron Corbin: Nobody I can't think of, then again Havoc is hardly a shining example of sanity?

Nakamura tried to keep on Havoc but the Brit evaded and slid under the bottom rope, taking a few steps up the ramp. Nakamura casually rocked his head from side to side and leisurely followed Havoc to the outside. Havoc ran at Nakamura with a running knee to the gut, Nakamura folded at the stomach and dropped to one knee. Havoc nailed another forearm to the side of the head, but again Nakamura refused to be knocked down. Havoc raised a knee into Nakamura's face and Shinsuke flopped backwards to the floor. Havoc started to move around the ring, when he got to the other side he hopped back into the ring. Nakamura began to get to his feet, Havoc bounced off the ropes and tried to nail Nakamura with a baseball slide but Nakamura saw it coming and moved out the way. When Havoc's feet hit the floor Nakamura had loaded up another forearm smash. This one leveled Havoc who crawled to the apron and back into the ring.

Corey Graves: Jimmy Havoc starting to look frustrated. This night isn't going how he planned.

Baron Corbin: I know what that's like...

Joey Styles: Oh come on! Are you still bitching about losing that match?

Baron: I'm not bitching Styles, I'm trying to say I can relate. Pay attention to the contest.

Nakamura made his way back into the ring. The men locked up in a collar and elbow tie-up, Havoc seemed to get the best of Nakamura, transitioning into a side headlock which he wrenched. Nakamura wriggled in attempt to find a counter, Havoc transitioned into a hammerlock, Nakamura bent in an attempt to sweep the leg but Havoc wrenched the hammerlock.

Joey Styles: British chain wrestling, this seems a smart decision?

Havoc transitioned again into an arm twist, causing Nakamura to drop to one knee. Havoc was growing in confidence. He pushed down on Nakumura's wrist. Nakamura looked up his arm at Jimmy, desperate to find a break. Nakumura dropped his weight to the canvas, forcing Havoc to follow. Havoc lost a little grip for just a moment but it was long enough for Nakumura to capitalize with yet another forearm strike which sent Havoc to the canvas.

Joey Styles: That's the third solid strike to the same spot, Jimmy Havoc is going to wind up with a broken jaw if this keeps up.

Baron Corbin: Broken jaw? More like broken record! And they call me a two trick pony.

Joey Styles: Are you serious?

Baron Corbin: Yes, Joey, I'm quite serious.

Nakamura dropped a knee on Havoc then dragged him to his feet. Nakamura wasted no time delivering multiple kicks to the Brit. Havoc caught Nakamura's foot, Nakamura attempted an enzugiri, but Havoc dodged it and Nakamura landed face first on the mat. Havoc ran against the ropes and delivered a running dropkick to Nakamura's face. Havoc locked in a front facelock and dragged Nakamura to his feet and delivered knees into his midsection, then strikes Nakamura's leg and the King of Strong Style dropped to one knee. Havoc ran against the ropes once more and...

Joey: SHINING WIZARD! Jimmy Havoc is turning Japanese!

The referee counted - 1... 2... kickout!

Baron Corbin: That's vile Styles.

Havoc stomped on Nakamura and got into his face, landing a couple of punches. Nakamura caught a punch, wrapped his hand around Havoc's wrist, then shifted his weight forward causing both men to regain their feet. Nakamura pushed Havoc back into short armed clothesline range... but Havoc had idea of his own...

Joey Styles: Acid Rainmaker out of nowhere! I think we may have a new Breakout Champion!

The referee counted - 1... 2... 3!

As the referee called for the bell, Baron Corbin dropped his headset and made his way to ringside. Corbin stood outside as Havoc raised the belt above his head. After a few seconds Corbin slid into the ring. Corbin stared at Havoc for a second but turned his attention to Nakamura. Corbin rained heavy punches down on the former champ to the dismay of the crowd. The referee then pulled Corbin off Nakamura and Corbin begrudgingly backed off, leaving Havoc alone in the ring to celebrate his victory.

MATCH SIX

As the camera faded back in on the ring after a video package hyping up this Fatal Fourway match, "Get Ready to Fly" by Grits blasted out of the speakers as AJ Styles came out to a sizeable pop, the EBWF crowd happy to see him in action. The music was replaced by Alex Shelley's theme music and the Detroit native headed down to the ring.

Corey Graves: You've got to know that this is going to be a high flying masterpiece of a match, Joey.

Joey Styles: It's going to be hard to keep up!

"We Are the Champions" by Queen played next, heralding the entrance of the Swiss Superman, Cesaro. Once he arrived in the ring, "The Second Coming" by CFO$ played next. Seth Rollins came out, and headed to the ring.

Corey Graves: This is match is to find a number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship!

The bell rang and Seth Rollins was immediately assaulted by Cesaro, and the two exchanged rights and lefts as AJ Styles paired off with Alex Shelley. Styles kicked Shelley in the gut and threw him toward the corner. The two fought as the referee attempted to break them up. Styles whipped Shelley toward the opposite corner, but Shelley leapt up and landed on the second turnbuckle, then launched backward into a moonsault on Styles, getting a quick two-count.

Joey Styles: Already the impressive aerial offense is starting to take place!

Corey Graves: That's what a shot at the Intercontinental Championship means to these guys, Joey. If you're not here to be a champion, you shouldn't be here.

Styles and Shelley continued to grapple as Cesaro worked Rollins into the corner, assaulting him with massive uppercuts. Rollins teetered but didn't fall. Cesaro whipped him to the opposite corner and hit a huge running uppercut, and Rollins stumbled out of the corner, dazed. Cesaro grabbed Rollins by the waist and hit a gutwrench powerbomb for a two count before it was broken up by AJ Styles, who ran in with a dropkick to Cesaro's skull, sending him rolling out of the ring. Styles picked up Shelley and hit a Pele kick, sending him to the mat. Styles mocked Shelley before he ran towards the ropes, then he went for another dropkick but Shelley avoided it and Styles slid underneath the bottom rope and crashed out to the floor. Styles got up and headed up top but Shelley leapt up and hit a super belly to belly to the delight of the crowd. Shelley picked AJ up they slug it out in the middle of the ring before Shelley sent him across the ring. Styles reversed it and tried to tackle him, but Shelley ducked out of the way and Styles hit the ring post, then Shelley reached and made a smal package pin attempt which was good for a two count. Shelley went for a leg drop bulldog but Styles countered with a German suplex bridged into a pin, which got a long two count. He tackled Shelley in the corner and rammed him with his shoulder. Styles went for a step up enziguiri but Shelley ducked and came back with a leaping neckbreaker. He went for a sleeper hold but Styles shoved him into the ropes and hit a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. The two collapsed in the middle of the ring as Cesaro made his way back in.

Joey Styles: Cesaro maybe looking to capitalize on all the hard work of the other competitors here!

Corey Graves: Smart move. Let the guys do their high spots, then pick the bones.

Cesaro went for a pin on Shelley first and got a two count. Then he went for a pin on AJ Styles which yielded the same results. He looked around, frustrated, then picked Rollins up and went for the Neutralizer. Just as Cesaro was going to drop forward, Rollins locked his legs around Cesaro's head and reversed the move into a huracanrana.

Joey Styles: WHAT A REVERSAL!

Corey Graves: We knew these guys would be innovative in this matchup.

Rollins went for a pin attempt on Cesaro, hooking the leg. The referee counted to two but Styles got back into the fray with a hard kick right to Rollins' temple. Rollins collapsed and Styles quickly scooped him up, going for the Styles Clash. Before he could hit the move, Shelley caught him with a superkick to the jaw, and Styles hit the mat like a sack of bricks, rolling out to the ringside area. Shelley then hit a suicide dive over the top rope onto Styles, and the two remained motionless outside as a ringside ref attended to them. Back in the ring, Rollins was slowly getting up to a vertical base. Cesaro charged at him and flattened him with another uppercut, getting a two count. He picked Rollins up and again went for the Neutralizer, but Rollins fought free and kicked Cesaro in the gut. In a blink, he bounced off the ropes and hit the Blackout! Rollins rolled Cesaro over and got the 1...2...3!

Corey Graves: There it is! Seth Rollins is your new Number One Contender!

Joey Styles: What a performance by these individuals!

The cameras went to a video package for the next match as Rollins celebrated in the middle of the ring.

MATCH SEVEN

Bossy blared over the sound sytem and out stepped a determined looking Trish Stratus heading to the ring for the Queen of the Ring final.

Joey Styles: Corey, she calls herself the Quintessential diva. She’s achieved everything in the EBWF, yet still seems to be so driven.

Corey Graves: That’s right Joey. Already crowned the 2016 female wrestler of the year the Slammys. A second Queen of the ring title would really prove Trish is top of the female wrestling ladder.

Joey Styles: But she’s up against…. Wait a second! What’s this?

From out of nowhere Sasha Banks attacked Trish stratus. Knocking her to the floor before she had even reached the ring. With her laying prone on the Sasha delivered several boots to the Canadian before rolling her into the ring. Sasha shouted at the referee to ring the bell, which he reluctantly did.

Joey Styles: Well it’s not an orthodox start, but looks like this match is under way after a cheap shot from Sasha there.

Corey Graves: What you class a cheap shot I class good old fashioned intelligent wrestling. It doesn’t matter how you get to the end result, the best do it by any means necessary and that’s what Sasha has done here. Great move.

Sasha pinned Trish with a smug look on her face, 1...2… kick out! Trish’s shoulder seemed to raised up purely on instinct. Sasha Banks bounced off the ropes and drop kicked Trish while she was still on the mat. She done the move again and then for a third time! She rolled Stratus over and went for a pin, 1...2… kick out! Sasha got to her feet frustrated and wildly stamped on her fallen opponent, rolling her out of the ring. With Trish outside Sasha instructed the referee to start the count.

Joey Styles: It might not be pretty, but Sasha would still be Queen of the Ring if its via countout.

The Boss walked around the ring taunting the fans as the referee counted. She mimed placing a crown on her head as the referee counted.

Trish was barely stirring following the attack. Sasha stood on the middle rope with her arms aloft.

Stratus just clawed her way back into the ring and Sasha turned and shot her a dirty look. She jumped down and walked over the quintessential diva. Taking two big handfuls of hair she pulled Trish to her feet who from sheer instinct delivered a kick to Sasha’s stomach and hit a swinging neck breaker leaving both women laid out on the mat.

Corey Graves: Out of nowhere with that neck breaker Styles! That’s what the crown means, you just run on adrenaline.

The referee started to count both ladies out as they laid on the canvas.

Joey Styles: Well I’m not sure what happens if neither lady can make the ten count Corey. We’ve never had that happen before!

As he reached an 8 count Trish had dragged herself up using the ropes and Sasha had staggered to her feet. The Boss saw her chance to continue her assault but as she approached Trish the Canadian grappler used her shoulder to barge Banks midsection and deliver an elbow to the back of her head. Like a rocket Trish sprung to the middle rope and flew through the air with a perfect cross body landing on top of Banks and the referee counted the pin, 1...2.. And Sasha kicked out.

Joey Styles: A near fall, but looks like the moment might be changing her. Trish getting in some great offence.

Stratus was to her feet and so was Sasha, but now the Boss was looking worse for wear. As Sasha came towards her Trish hit a spear on Banks to the crowds delight. She dived on top of her for the cover. 1..2…

Corey Graves: And she gets the shoulder up! This one could last all night.

Trish looked slightly shocked she had not won it. But she stood up and gestured for Banks to do the same. Sasha slowly got to her feet and as she turned to face Stratus she went for the Chick Kick, but ducking the kick Sasha hit Bankrupt and rolled through applying the Bank Statement in the middle of the ring!

Joey Styles: What a counter Corey, Bank Statement in the middle of the ring and Trish has nowhere to go.

The pain was obvious in Trish’s face who tried to move, but none of the four sides of the ring where anywhere in reach. Banks was leaning back applying more and more pressure to the hold. You could see tears welling Stratus’s eyes as her hand hit the mat and the referee called for the bell!

Corey Graves: And it’s over Joey, we have a new Queen of the Ring and it is Sasha Banks.

Joey Styles: Both ladies left everything in that ring tonight, but you can see from Trish’s reaction to tapping just how much this means.

Trish rolled out of the ring as Sky’s The Limit played loudly as Sasha Banks was announced as the 2016 Queen of the Ring. Gingerly getting to her feet, she may not be a fan favourite, but they could not help but show respect for the effort she and Trish had both put in during the match.

Joey Styles: I get the feeling we’re not going to hear the end of this for quite a while, but she has to soak up this moment.

Corey Graves: You can’t say she didn’t deserve it Joey. She dug that bit deeper, and went that bit further than any of the other EBWF ladies to win this!

The camera cut to a commercial as a clearly emotional Sasha Banks was still celebrating in the ring.

As the crowd kept chanting his theme song, waiting for his opponent, the lights started getting dim. After a while, Miz’s “AWESOME!” was heard as “I came to play” signalled the entrance of The Miz who strutted down the ring to boos, stopping to pose for pictures as if surrounded by paparazzi.

Joey Styles: It all comes down to this! King of the Ring ends here, Sami Zayn takes on The Miz for the crown!

Corey Graves: Honestly, both these men have worked hard to get here, they both earned this spot but who can go that extra mile just to get the job done.

The referee orders the bell to ring, and it does. As soon as it does Zayn sprints towards Miz looking for the Helluva Kick, but Miz dodges it and goes for a walk ringside.

Joey Styles: Zayn is wasting no time here!

Joey Styles: He’s doing what Miz was trying earlier, evasion!

Zayn smiles and goes back to the corner he started the match in. The crowd erupts in cheers for Sami’s stamina. Sami lets Miz get back up to his feet, and now they lock up with Miz shoving Sami into the corner. The referee starts counting to break up the grapple, he gets up to four before Miz backs off. Both men make it back in the ring by the count of 9, prompting the match to go on. They keep wrestling with Zayn using his entire arsenal of moves, as well as Miz. He then started taunting the crowd as loud boos echoed throughout the arena. Miz then picked up one of Zayn’s legs and the crowd knew what was coming as they booed louder. Miz locked in the Figure-Four leglock!

Corey Graves: This is genius work, wearing down the legs to apply the Figure-Four leg lock!

Joey Styles: Not only that, but that might weaken any chance Zayn has of hitting that Helluva Kick he tried earlier!

Corey Graves: Hold on, Styles, look at this, Zayn is turning so he can put the pressure of the Leg Lock on Miz’s legs!

Zayn managed to reverse the hold which garnered a loud pop from the crowd. Both men went back to their starting corners and pulled themselves back up. Both men were quickly to their feet, and Jericho hit an unexpected Codebreaker for a two count as Owens put his hand on the bottom rope before the three count. Jericho asked the ref what happened, and Jericho seemed to grow a little frustrated. He got to his feet, and began to stomp away at Owens. From his back, Owens grabbed Jericho by the ankle and pulled him down to the mat. It was enough time for Owens to get to his feet, and he grabbed Jericho by the legs, going for the Walls of Jericho.

Joey Styles: The audacity of Kevin Owens... he's trying to beat Jericho with his own move!

Just as Owens was about to lock the hold in, Jericho rolled back over and kicked Owens away. Owens staggered backwards into the corner and Jericho got to his feet, then hit a springboard dropkick. As Owens moved out of the corner, Jericho took him down to the mat and applied the Lion Tamer!
