King Xavier

Slobber Knocker

Post by King Xavier »

King Xavier was on his way to Jacksonville, Florida. It was a very special occasion for the Breakout champion. His career has taken off since joining EBWF and there was only one man responsible for that. This guy grew up around wrestling and watched King Xavier's growth over the years. They hit it off right away, becoming best friends. It was the legendary Jim Ross and it was time to sit down with one of the few men Xavier trusted inside his own personal bubble. Jim Ross knew he was coming, so when he arrived in Jacksonville. Jim Ross started a cookout as he waited for Breakout champion to show up at his house. The traffic was light for a change as he made his way to the address. He could smell the ribs cooking as he pulled into the driveway. He gets out and walks to the backyard porch as the two friends hug. Jim Ross offers him a drink, which he gladly accepts. Enjoying the cold glass of sweet tea Xavier looks over at Jim Ross who is smothering the ribs in his famous sauce. Jim Ross took a load off seating next to him as Xavier spoke.

King Xavier
I can't believe it's been years since we spoke. I was so close to walking away from the sports I love but you encouraged me to never give up and push on. Every week gets harder as the talent level rises but Jim Ross, I would not change it for the world. I'm sure you've heard from media outlets that I have a huge opportunity this week on Warfare. It's an Elimination Chamber match and the winner earns a World Title opportunity at Fallout. This is my opportunity to prove that I'm worthy of the main event. I don't care what The Miz has to say his days are numbered as champion once I earn the right to compete against him.

Jim Ross was listening to his friend. It was something the two guys always did for each other. Jim Ross took a moment to close the smoker as he enjoyed a cold beer and responded.

Jim Ross
You know something, Xavier. I already know that you can do it. Trust your ability and stay true to yourself and you will find victory Wednesday night. You are right it is hard to compete at the highest level every single week but that's the price you pay for being part of EBWF. That's the reason I told you to sign there it would drive you to succeed and look at you. One huge victory away from a World title shot that no one can take from you. I know you've had doubters since you joined. I know you've had people disrespect your title as king and as a man respectfully but everyone is going to have that, Xavier. Use the experience you have and the wisdom you were blessed with to overcome all of it. What can any of them say if you win on Warfare? It's time you show everyone the dark side of King Xavier. I know it's a place you don't like to go but moments like this call for it.

Jim Ross was right as always. Xavier refused to change who he was and he had no one to blame but himself. He had not been very smart with some of his decisions but that was going to change as he finished off the tea and leaned forward looking over at Good Ol' JR.

King Xavier
You're right Jim Ross. I do need to flip a switch and show all these guys what I can be. It's time I become a true leader in EBWF. Yes, I might be Breakout champion but the roster does not take me seriously enough. They consider me a joke and winning this match as you stated will prove how much of a leader I can be. The match on Warfare is going to be the match of the year I can promise you that. I can't speak for everyone in the match JR but believe me it is going to be a slobber knocker.

Jim Ross
Of course, it will be. You have so much to offer this company, Xavier. The year has barely started and you're already considered one of the top talents and that says a lot. You are a clear favorite to be named best athlete with the achievements you've already accomplished. I think it's time to discuss your opponents though unless you don't want to.

Xavier laughs and nods his head in agreement. Jim Ross gets up, checking on the ribs as they shift the topic to his opponents.

Jim Ross
I know this match seems like a tall task but remember everyone has the same odds. That being said who do you feel is your biggest threat for the opportunity to compete at Fallout in a world title match?

King Xavier
Honestly, when I first heard the opponents, I was left a little confused. There does not seem to be a particular man who was added to this match. The only guy who can claim to be a threat is the one who has the most to lose besides myself. Bray Wyatt is that guy. He is a dark horse and very little is known about him at least to me. He could be the greatest superstar EBWF has ever seen but it won't change my approach for him. Bray is a very unique man. He thrives on fear and the more we show him the more control he gets. I've told everyone in EBWF that I fear no man. You already knew that the moment you met me. Bray Wyatt is only a threat because he is desperate. He needs this win to feel like he still has what it takes. However, the only thing Bray is going to get from yours truly JR is a reality check. Bray is going to struggle because he has never dealt with someone like me. EBWF has changed it's no longer a company that one man can control. Instead, it is a company that has fighters. It truly is a place the strong survive and inside the elimination chamber, it's no different. It's not for the faint of heart.

Jim Ross
Interesting choice of words for him. I actually was not expecting that for your answer but I can see your argument for Bray Wyatt. Who do you feel was the biggest surprise announcement when it comes to this match?

King Xavier
You know something, Jim. If they have made this match a few weeks ago I would have said hands down MJF. However, the fact that MJF just won the Breakout tournament for an opportunity at my title really impressed me. I did not think he had it in him but I give credit where it's due. He is certainly on fire entering the chamber undefeated but this is out of his league. He is a spoiled little boy who throws a tantrum if things do not go his way. It's time he man up and prove he is a threat here. Prince Devitt on the other hand is a surprise. Not only did he lose in the tournament but if memory serves me correctly, he has not done much since becoming part of EBWF. I am starting to think he paid his way into the match. Hell, maybe his buddy Adam Cole pulled some strings trying to screw me out of jealousy. I don't know what his reasoning is but it will not matter. Prince Devitt will soon realize that he is not a natural-born leader and cracks anytime he has a spotlight on him. In fact, I can say with great confidence that if Prince Devitt wins it will be the worse main event in the history of EBWF.

They get up from the porch and head inside. Jim Ross turns the television on as an Oklahoma Sooner classic appears. King Xavier knew it was only a matter of time before he would ignore him completely and watch the game. He sits on the couch regardless as Jim Ross spoke again.

Jim Ross
Now that we've established who you think the weakest and biggest threat is I'd love to know your thoughts on Kevin Steen?

King Xavier
Respect goes a long way for me as you know. It's hard for me to be a jerk to anyone here unless I am pushed to that point. Kevin Steen is someone that does not have my respect. The guy has never introduced himself to me. He has never impressed me much inside the ring and that hurts for me to say. The elimination chamber deserves the very best. People like Kevin is an injury waiting to happen. He worries about himself first and everyone else later and that's not how this business works. You always taught me that being a safe entertainer is crucial and not to mention Kevin is a loose cannon. That is a very dangerous recipe inside a chamber with no escape. However, Kevin brings an energy like no other. He might be intense JR but it drives all of us to match it and who can be mad about that.

Before they can keep conversing, the game begins and JR focuses on that. Xavier knew he would have to wait until halftime when JR was back to normal for fifteen minutes. He watches the game with him as he screams and hollers with JR when Oklahoma has a terrible play. There is cussing and crying and the first half is quite the roller coaster ride. Halftime finally hits as JR looks over at his friend and smiles.

Jim Ross
Xavier, I am sorry about that you know how I get during the games regardless of how long ago it was. There is only one man left to discuss. It is someone that I've never personally met but rumor has its Alex Shelley is a man on a mission. Does he want to destroy you no matter the cost what are your thoughts on that?

King Xavier
Alex Shelley can do whatever he wants to me. I will bounce back and fight each and every man in that chamber. He is a name I've heard good things about so that's encouraging to know at least. It is going to be absolute war in the chamber and Alex seems like the perfect guy for an event like this. However, none of these men understand the mental capacity the chamber will take from you. Alex might like giving pain but he is a sissy in terms of receiving it. So, Jim Ross the moment Alex feels pain he will start to crumble because he wants to control things and I refuse to allow that.

Halftime was just about over as Jim Ross prepares two plates feeding King Xavier. They finish watching the game as he stands up and is walked out his friend. King Xavier drove all the way up to Wells Fargo Center and parked his car. The guy was tired for sure but he wanted a few moments to speak with his beloved fans. The lines were filling up quickly as King Xavier jumped in and helped get the lines moving. He greeted everyone with a big smile on his face. The energy was out of the world and he was loving it. Once the crowd is operating at a normal pace King Xavier heads inside. He prepares himself for the ultimate showdown as the sellout crowd starts chanting his name. He had to address the crowd it was the right thing to do. He grabs a microphone took his crown and made his way down the corridor as he walks from the back. Down the ramp as the crowd erupts and he slides into the ring. He stands enjoying it all. Looking up noticing the elimination chamber as he brings the mic to his lips.

Philadelphia thank you for showing a brother some love. That is where the love ends though because in just a few hours I am going to be locked inside the chamber with five other men. The reward is going to be worth it though and the bruises at the end of the day will show the sacrifice I made to dethrone The Miz as the leader of this company. Bray Wyatt, Alex Shelly, Kevin Steen, MJF, and Prince Devitt are going to be busted open, weak, and struggle to their feet. King Xavier will have has struggles too but you see being a king I am used to war. I am used to chaos and destruction it's in my blood. It is my goal to be world champion and it starts tonight.

As he speaks the chamber slowly comes down. He continues.

History and experience do not matter in this event. It is the worse and best experience of our life. It will change you forever and take you on a rollercoaster of emotions. Just understand that King Xavier is doing this for complete conquest and taking EBWF to new heights. I am doing it for the people that's right all my brothers and sister in Philadelphia yours truly is doing this for you. The loyal fans of EBWF deserve someone who not only WANTS to be World champion but DESERVES to be World champion. There is only one man worthy of that honor and you're looking at him right now. King Xavier is fired up and ready to go. The time for playing is over. I am not the biggest talker out of the bunch but believe me, I will be celebrating in style with every single one of you tonight in Philadelphia PA.

The chamber lowers all the way to the ground. Xavier walks over and shakes it as the fans are going nuts. The sirens go off and fireworks erupt starting the show as the scene shifts as he walks backstage and the chamber is slowly lifted once more. It was going to be a moment none of them forget but for one it would punch their ticket to Fallout no matter what happens.
