The crowd inside the Scotiabank Arena roared with anticipation as the EBWF logo flashed across the screens and the lights dimmed.
Mauro Ranallo: Tonight, we continue the road to Total Supremacy, and what better place to do it than in the Great White North! Toronto is rocking, Nigel, and the stakes couldn’t be higher!
Nigel McGuinness: Hook has been tearing through the competition with silent intensity, but tonight he faces a man who’s been manipulating locker rooms and tournaments for over two decades. Christian Cage is as dangerous as they come.
As Christian’s theme blared through the arena, the hometown crowd erupted with a mix of cheers and jeers as Christian Cage made his entrance. Dressed in a black jacket with gold accents, he paused at the top of the ramp and looked out over the crowd, soaking in the reaction. He smirked arrogantly, then made his way to the ring, clearly relishing the spotlight in his home country.
The lights shifted, and Hook made his entrance next, walking to the ring with no nonsense and zero wasted motion. Draped in his trademark towel, the rising star showed no intimidation despite the hostile environment.
The bell rang, and tension filled the air as the two locked eyes. Christian moved in cautiously, knowing better than to brawl. He initiated a collar-and-elbow tie-up, but Hook countered swiftly into a waistlock and took him down with a mat return. Hook transitioned fluidly into a front facelock and squeezed tight.
Nigel McGuinness: Hook showing off that amateur pedigree early. This is how you control a veteran—ground him.
Christian reached the ropes and forced the break, then rolled out of the ring for a breather.
Mauro Ranallo: Smart ring awareness by Christian. He’s not just fighting Hook—he’s fighting the pace.
Hook slid under the ropes to pursue, but Christian baited him in with a thumb to the eye. With the referee distracted, Christian whipped Hook hard into the steel steps, the sound echoing through the Scotiabank Arena. Back in the ring, Christian slowed things down with a grounded chinlock, grinding his forearm across Hook’s face. The crowd clapped rhythmically, urging Hook back to life. Hook surged up and fired a series of elbows to the ribs, breaking free before connecting with a sharp lariat that dropped Christian flat. Hook kept the pressure on, hitting a T-bone suplex, followed by a running elbow drop. He covered.
1… 2… Kickout!
Wasting no time, Hook grabbed Christian from behind and cinched in Redrum.
Mauro Ranallo: REDRUM IS LOCKED IN! He’s got it deep!
Christian struggled, his hands clawing at the air. He inched toward the ropes, couldn’t reach, and in a desperate move, kicked off the turnbuckle to roll backward into a pin.
1… 2… Hook kicked out!
Both men rose quickly, and Christian exploded with a spear, nearly cutting Hook in half.
1… 2… Hook KICKED OUT!
Nigel McGuinness: Hook is still in this! But how much more can he take?
Frustrated, Christian climbed the turnbuckle for a high-risk headbutt, but Hook rolled aside, leaving Christian to crash into the canvas. Hook followed up with a stiff body shot, then executed a beautiful bridging Northern Lights Suplex.
1… 2… Christian kicked out!
The fans were split—some cheering the hometown hero, others rallying behind Hook. The young competitor went for Redrum again, but Christian dropped to a knee and landed a low blow, hidden from the referee’s view.
Mauro Ranallo: OH COME ON! A LOW BLOW IN FRONT OF HIS OWN COUNTRYMEN!
Christian seized the moment, hooking Hook’s arms and spiking him into the mat with the Killswitch.
1… 2… 3!
The bell rang, and the Toronto crowd responded with a mix of admiration and outrage.
Christy Hemme: Here is your winner… and advancing in the King of the Ring tournament… CHRISTIAN CAGE!
Nigel McGuinness: He did what he’s always done, Mauro—bend the rules just enough to get the win. And now, Christian Cage advances.
Mauro Ranallo: And he does it in his home country, with the world watching. Hook gave him everything he could handle… but tonight, the veteran escaped with a tainted victory.
Christian stood tall in the ring, arms raised, drinking in the heat and admiration from the conflicted Toronto crowd. Hook lay on the mat, seething and silent, the fire in his eyes undimmed.
When Warfare returned from the commercial break, Millie McKenzie was making her way to the ring for the next match. Nikki Cross came out next, before finally, “Celtic Invasion” by CFO$ hit. The crowd erupted as Becky Lynch stepped out onto the stage, making her EBWF return. Lynch stood at the top of the stage, soaking in the ovation as chants of "Becky! Becky!" echoed through the arena, then charged down the ramp. As Becky made her way down the ramp, the camera cut back to Millie McKenzie and Nikki Cross in the ring. Millie looked focused and determined, while Nikki crouched in the corner with a wild grin, muttering to herself.
Mauro Ranallo: What a thrilling contest this promises to be here in Toronto, Nigel – three fierce competitors, all with their eyes on the Queen of the Ring crown!
Nigel McGuinness: And what a wonderful moment this is, Mauro – Becky Lynch returning to EBWF after nearly nine months away. She will be determined to win this tournament and reclaim the Women’s Championship, but Millie McKenzie is a hungry young competitor with bags of potential, and Nikki Cross is unhinged. This is anyone’s match!
As soon as the bell rang, Nikki lunged at Becky with reckless abandon, throwing wild forearms that forced Lynch back into the corner. Millie pulled Nikki away and delivered a crisp European uppercut, then another, sending Cross stumbling back. Becky quickly recovered and joined Millie in whipping Nikki off the ropes. On the rebound, they took her down with a double hip toss.
Mauro Ranallo: A rare moment of teamwork from Lynch and McKenzie – but that won’t last long!
As Cross rolled out of the ring to regroup, Becky and Millie locked eyes, nodding in mutual respect before circling one another. They tied up, and Becky transitioned into a side headlock. Millie broke free, whipped Becky against the ropes, then leapfrogged her on the return. Becky ducked a clothesline and hit the ropes again, catching Millie with a shoulder tackle.
Nigel McGuinness: Vintage Becky Lynch! She’s shaking off the ring rust in a hurry.
Becky went for a quick cover and the referee counted – 1… Millie kicked out! Becky pulled Millie to her feet, but Millie countered with a swift elbow to the midsection and followed up with a snap suplex. She hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1… 2… Becky kicked out! Suddenly, Nikki Cross came flying back into the ring, clubbing both women from behind with a double clothesline. She screamed in fury as she pulled Becky up and hit a swinging neckbreaker. Millie got to her feet, only for Nikki to charge at her and hit a running crossbody that flattened her.
Mauro Ranallo: Nikki Cross has turned this match into a demolition derby!
Nigel McGuinness: And she’s loving every second of it, Mauro!
Nikki mounted Millie and rained down fists, laughing maniacally. Becky grabbed Nikki by the hair and yanked her off, throwing her into the corner and stomping her down. The crowd chanted “Let’s go Becky!” as Lynch climbed the ropes and delivered a ten-punch combo to Nikki’s head. Cross staggered forward, and Becky hit a bulldog. Millie McKenzie then returned to the fray, catching Becky with a stiff forearm to the jaw. She lifted Lynch and hit a German suplex, bridging into a pin. The referee counted – 1… 2… Becky kicked out! McKenzie didn’t let up – she ran the ropes and caught Lynch with a sliding lariat as she sat up. Millie went for another pin – 1… 2… Again, Becky kicked out!
Mauro Ranallo: Millie McKenzie has come out swinging tonight, and she’s giving Becky Lynch all she can handle!
Nigel McGuinness: That’s what Queen of the Ring is all about – proving yourself on the biggest stage!
Nikki re-entered the picture again, this time pulling Millie to the outside and slamming her into the barricade. She then reached under the ring and pulled out a steel chair — but before she could use it, Becky Lynch climbed to the top rope and hit Nikki with a missile dropkick! Becky then threw Nikki into the ring, climbed back into the ring herself and signalled for the Dis-arm-her, but before she could lock it in, Millie slid back in and caught Becky with a running uppercut. Millie lifted Becky up and attempted another German suplex, but this time Becky flipped out of it and landed on her feet. After a swift kick to the midsection, Becky planted Millie with a DDT! She hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1… 2… Millie got the shoulder up just in time!
Mauro Ranallo: Becky almost had the match won there! What impressive resilience Millie McKenzie is showing.
As Becky got to her feet, Nikki charged towards her, going for a spear… but Becky sidestepped it, causing Nikki to run straight into the ring post shoulder-first! Becky then rolled her up, and the referee counted – 1… 2… Nikki kicked out! As all three women got to their feet, the match broke down into a three-way flurry of strikes – Becky trading shots with Millie, then Nikki attacking both women. Becky ducked a punch from Cross and caught her with an exploder suplex, sending her into the turnbuckles as the crowd roared.
Nigel McGuinness: What a shot! Nikki might be out cold!
As Becky got to her feet, Millie grabbed her, setting her up for a pumphandle suplex, but Becky blocked it and lifted Millie over her shoulders, hitting the Mandhandle Slam. Becky then grabbed Millie’s arm and yanked her down into the Dis-Arm-Her! Millie tried to fight out of it, but was unable to do so and tapped out. Becky released the hold and got to her feet, pumping her fist as the referee raised her hand.
Mauro Ranallo: The Man has returned to EBWF, and she’s already made her mark on the Queen of the Ring tournament!
Nigel McGuinness: That was a hard-fought battle, and Becky Lynch showed exactly why she’s one of the greatest of all time. But I’ve got to give credit to Millie McKenzie — she pushed Becky to the limit!
Becky stood tall in the center of the ring, soaking in the moment as the camera focused on her determined expression.
After the match, the camera cut to the backstage area, where Adam Cole was standing outside his locker room, the EBWF World Championship slung over his shoulder. His expression was calm but intense.
Adam Cole: Madison Square Garden. Fallout. The main event. And now… this.
He adjusted the championship on his shoulder and looked directly into the camera.
Adam Cole: This isn’t just ten pounds of gold and leather. This is validation. This is vindication. This is a decade-plus of blood, sweat, setbacks, and sacrifice… all culminating in the moment CM Punk’s shoulders hit the mat, and the ref counted one… two… three.
Cole smirked slightly.
Adam Cole: I told you, Punk. You reminded me who I am. You lit a fire that you couldn’t put out. And now, your legacy is just another stepping stone on the path to mine.
Cole paced a little, running his fingers along the edge of the title plate.
Adam Cole: But I know this moment – this championship – isn’t the end. It’s just the beginning. Because now comes the hard part – staying on top. And over the next few weeks, I’ll be watching the King of the Ring tournament very closely. Because the winner? They get the first shot at this.
He pointed at the championship whilst gripping it tightly, making it clear that it wasn’t something he would give up easily.
Adam Cole: So, whether it’s a veteran looking for one more run, or some young upstart trying to make their name off mine… I’ll be ready. I want the best. I want the challenge. I want to make this title mean more every time I defend it.
He stopped pacing and leaned in slightly, his voice lower and more sincere.
Adam Cole: And speaking of the best… Kyle O’Reilly.
Cole stood up straight, addressing the camera with a quiet respect.
Adam Cole: Good luck tonight, brother. I know what you’re capable of. I’ve felt it. I’ve fought it. And if you go all the way and win this tournament… If you earn that crown and punch your ticket to a title match… It would be an honour to defend this championship against you. One more time. You and me, with everything on the line. Just like old times… only bigger.
Cole smirked again, and his voice lifted with energy and swagger.
Adam Cole: So go out there and handle your business, Kyle. Show the former World Champion, former King of the Ring, Damian Priest – and the whole damn world – exactly why they should never take you lightly.
Cole lifted the EBWF World Championship off his shoulder and held it up in front of the camera.
Adam Cole: This is the era of the Unleashed. The era of Adam Cole. And whether it’s Kyle O’Reilly, Damian Priest, or anyone else… I’m ready for all of it, bay bay.
Cole placed the title back over his shoulder, then walked off screen as the crowd in the arena popped in anticipation for the upcoming match.
As the lights dimmed once again in Scotiabank Arena, the audience barely had time to catch their breath after those powerful words from Adam Cole.
Mauro Ranallo: The King of the Ring tournament continues, and folks—this is a stylistic clash you do NOT want to miss. Kyle O’Reilly brings a hybrid offense of MMA and technical wrestling, while Damian Priest is all power and punishment!
Nigel McGuinness: Let’s not forget that Priest is a former EBWF World Champion. He’s been to the mountaintop before, but O’Reilly has made a name for himself by chopping down giants. This could get nasty.
The lights turned red and purple as Damian Priest made his entrance. Dressed in black leather and exuding menace, Priest walked slowly through a cloud of smoke, lifting his arms at the top of the ramp as flame bursts erupted behind him. He stepped into the ring with a scowl, laser-focused on domination. Then the crowd gave a strong reaction as Kyle O’Reilly stepped onto the stage in black and red trunks, bouncing on the balls of his feet. He shadowboxed his way to the ring, jaw clenched, clearly ready for a fight.
The bell rang, and both men met in the center. O’Reilly fired first, launching a stiff leg kick to Priest’s thigh. Priest staggered slightly, then responded with a forearm to the jaw that knocked O’Reilly back into the ropes.
Mauro Ranallo: These two are throwing bombs already!
Priest rushed in with a corner clothesline, followed by a falcon arrow that shook the mat. He covered quickly.
1… 2… Kickout by O’Reilly!
Priest hauled Kyle up by the hair and went for a sit-out chokeslam, but O’Reilly reversed into a guillotine choke mid-air, wrapping his legs around Priest’s waist.
Nigel McGuinness: What a counter! That’s Kyle O’Reilly’s bread and butter—he’ll trap you from anywhere!
Priest staggered around the ring, nearly dropping to a knee, but he powered out with brute strength, throwing O’Reilly into the corner to break the hold. He followed with a rapid-fire combo of body shots and a spinning heel kick that dropped Kyle to the mat. Priest climbed to the top rope and flew off with a diving spinning heel kick, but O’Reilly moved and caught Priest’s leg on landing, twisting into a heel hook. Priest screamed in pain, arms flailing.
Mauro Ranallo: A surgical strike! O’Reilly has the leg! Priest could tap!
Priest reached the ropes just in time, but he was clearly limping as he pulled himself up. O’Reilly stayed on the attack, nailing a series of Muay Thai knees to the ribs and then hitting a regalplex with a tight bridge.
1… 2… Kickout!
O’Reilly waited for Priest to rise and went for a Buzzsaw Kick, but Priest ducked and hit a sudden South of Heaven chokeslam out of nowhere!
1… 2… KICKOUT BY O’REILLY!
Nigel McGuinness: Are you kidding me? That would’ve put most men away!
Priest lined up for The Reckoning, but as he lifted O’Reilly for the finishing maneuver, O’Reilly slipped behind and hit a dragon suplex, dumping Priest high on his neck. Priest tried to sit up groggily, but O’Reilly was already on him, driving a knee into Priest’s temple before transitioning straight into an arm-trap triangle choke.
Mauro Ranallo: O’Reilly is dissecting him! It’s like watching a surgeon at work!
Priest fought valiantly, trying to posture up, but the damage to his leg and head slowed his resistance. Eventually, he went limp and the referee checked his arm.
Referee: He’s out! Ring the bell!
The bell sounded and the crowd erupted as the referee raised Kyle O’Reilly’s arm in victory.
Christy Hemme: Here is your winner… and advancing to the next round of the King of the Ring tournament… KYLE O’REILLY!
Nigel McGuinness: What a performance! Kyle O’Reilly just submitted a former world champion and may have just submitted his name into the conversation as a tournament favorite.
Mauro Ranallo: Tonight, O’Reilly took a monster down and did it with precision, aggression, and heart. Toronto has witnessed something special!
Kyle knelt in the corner, breathing heavily but with a faint smirk of satisfaction. The referee checked on Damian Priest, who was slowly regaining consciousness. O’Reilly stood tall, advancing in the tournament and sending a message to the rest of the field: The Violent Artist was painting his masterpiece—one limb at a time.
The whole of ScotiaBank Arena began to rumble as Warfare arrived at a moment that seemed impossible mere months before. As the camera panned over the crowd, there were signs reading ‘WE WANT MINA’, ‘IT’S OEDO TIME’ and ‘EBWF HAS VENUS ENVY’. Finally, the camera settled on the ring where EBWF’s beloved ring announcer was standing ready, microphone in hand.
Christy Hemme: Ladies and gentlemen, at this time please welcome the NEW EBWF Women’s Champion: MIINAAA SHIIIIRAAKAAAWAAA!
“Cosmic Kuduro” hit to a strikingly big pop from the Toronto crowd. Several neon hearts within one another pounded in time to the dance beat on the Tron and the crowd were clapping in time as well. With pink and white lights pulsing along the ramp, the brand new EBWF Women’s Champion strutted out to an even louder pop. She smiled brightly and wasted no time going into a full fledged dance routine. As the camera zoomed out, it revealed Himeka had joined her with precise movements that actually got cheers.
The pair continued this down the ramp, Mina unhindered by the extra pounds of gold now sitting around her waist. She took the time to saunter and dance around the ring before rolling into the ring proper. Inside the ring, she and Himeka finished their dance, striking poses to the surprising delight of the crowd. Even when the music faded out, the crowd was still cheering for the new champion, who played it up and encouraged them to get louder. As they did, Mina cupped a hand to her ear as if unable to believe what she was hearing. It was then that Mina was handed a mic by Himeka, and the champion flashed that winning smile again.
Mina Shirakawa: I’m not the kind of woman to tell you that I told you so. Nothing’s certain in this ring, especially against someone like Britt Baker. But god it feels wonderful to do exactly what I said I’d do!
This got a roar of approval.
Mina Shirakawa: It’s a different world now. EBWF was changed forever when the Final Boss was retired in December - everyone could feel it. New opportunities for new wrestlers! New milestones surpassed! When Tam left Himeka and I decided to knuckle down and work harder than ever to prove Oedo Tai was stronger without her. Both of us were written off as the supporting cast of women who said they were queens. I have a lot to say, but first of all I have a question: how do you like us now?!
There was another cheer as she shook her hips to show off the EBWF Women’s Championship.
Mina Shirakawa: Oedo Tai’s beaten prodigies and legends while going undefeated since the change. And for me personally, I made a New Year’s resolution to do the one thing that’s evaded me in my professional career. I saw Britt walking around with this belt and knew deep down that I needed it. I was hungry, I was desperate. Desperate enough to willingly enter #1 in Last Survivor and survive the gauntlet of the top wrestlers in the world just to earn my shot. There were easier ways to get what I wanted, but that’s not how I wanted to do it. I wanted to leave no doubt, no questions if Mina belongs at the top.
She nodded as some of those doubts flew through her head for a moment.
Mina Shirakawa: I needed to earn it. Oedo Tai needed to earn success and change if it was going to survive. We could’ve kept attacking everyone who got in our way, but that would’ve made us no better than we were before. For us to be strong and really changed, we needed to support each other and earn it. If I wanted to be the EBWF Women’s Champion I needed to earn it. And you know what?
Mina glanced down at her new gold.
Mina Shirakawa: Mission accomplished!
Another cheer rose from the crowd as Mina removed the belt from her waist and draped it over her shoulder.
Mina Shirakawa: At Fallout the whole world saw exactly how far I’d push myself to get what I wanted. Everyone saw me stand toe to toe with one of the best wrestlers in the world and match her strike for strike, hold for hold. I know the sight of me standing tall with the top prize in professional wrestling was a shock to a lot of people - I still don’t quite believe it! But it’s changed the world of EBWF. And it’s given a whole lot of women in the back a bad case of Venus Envy. All of them want to do what I’ve done, and you know what?
She gazed up the ramp, half expecting someone to interrupt her.
Mina Shirakawa: They’re welcome to try and take this from me any night. While we did sometimes fall back into.. Bad habits.. Oedo Tai is doing things different now. We’re fighting hard and pushing the rest of the locker room to fight just as hard. We’re doing whatever we want because we can, and because we won’t let anyone stop us. We’re bringing back the dance break because our way is to have fun no matter what anyone thinks. We’re going to introduce you to our third member in a moment too!
Some eyes in the crowd went on a swivel at this news, but no one emerged just yet.
Mina Shirakawa: And it’s important to me to do this in a way that leaves no doubt who’s better. Because of that I want everyone who’s jealous of what I just accomplished to know that the door is open anytime. Step through, call your shot and find out for yourself why Mina Shirakawa is EBWF Women’s Champion!
This got a cheer as the fans seemed to be accepting of her change of heart.
Mina Shirakawa: But be warned: I will die before I let you take this championship away from me. Fighting for the EBWF Women’s Championship will be the hardest battle of your life! Because just like I did against Britt, I’m earning my wins my way, period. You all want Mina. Come and get her.
Chants of ‘WE WANT MINA!’ rang out as she waited again for an interruption that doesn’t come. Grinning, Mina dropped the microphone, then she and Himeka began dancing once more as “Cosmic Kuduro” began to play. However, their dancing was interrupted as both women were attacked from behind! The music was abruptly interrupted, and as the camera panned back, the attackers were revealed.
Mauro Ranallo: It’s the Daughters of Darkness, Jamie Hayter and Rhea Ripley, formerly of Oedo Tai! What are they doing?!
Nigel McGuinness: They’re sending a message, Mauro! Britt Baker warned Mina… winning that championship puts a target on your back!
Rhea Ripley hit Himeka with the Riptide, then went after Mina, who was holding her own against Jamie Hayter. Now outnumbered, Mina was quickly overpowered, and with an assist from Rhea, Jamie hit her with the Hayterade! Standing over Mina, Jamie then grabbed the Women’s Championship and held it up high, making her intentions clear. The crowd booed, then began to cheer as Britt Baker ran down the ramp, wielding a steel chair. Jamie dropped the title, then she and Rhea retreated through the crowd. Britt watched them leave, then checked on Mina as Warfare went to a commercial break.
As the camera returned to the ring for the final time that evening, ring announcer Christy Hemme stood in the center of the ring, the crowd buzzing in anticipation.
Christy Hemme: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, and it is a first round match in the 2025 King of the Ring tournament!
The lights dimmed, and PAC’s theme hit to a chorus of boos from the Toronto crowd. PAC emerged on stage, hood up, eyes burning with intensity as he made his way to the ring.
Mauro Ranallo: A ferocious competitor from Newcastle upon Tyne, PAC enters the King of the Ring tournament with one goal – domination.
Nigel McGuinness: And no one makes domination look quite so painful, Mauro. He’s relentless. But tonight… he’s stepping into hostile territory.
When PAC was in the ring, the lights went out again, and after a brief pause, the familiar sound of “Metalingus” by Alter Bridge erupted from the speakers. The Scotiabank Arena exploded with a thunderous ovation as smoke filled the entranceway.
Mauro Ranallo: Mamma Mia! Listen to this ovation! The Rated-R Superstar is home!
Nigel McGuinness: You’d think the Leafs just won the Stanley Cup!
Edge emerged from the smoke, eyes locked on the ring, soaking in the moment as he stood on his home turf. The crowd sang along to his theme as Edge made his way down the ramp with purpose. When Edge was in the ring, the referee called for the bell and both men began circling one another, before locking up in the center of the ring. PAC quickly transitioned into a waistlock, but Edge reversed into a side headlock. PAC broke free and hit Edge with a series of punches, then whipped him against the ropes… but on the return, Edge took PAC down with a shoulder tackle.
As PAC got back to his feet, he slapped Edge across the face!
Nigel McGuinness: That might not have been wise…
Edge grinned and tackled PAC to the mat, unloading with right hands! PAC scurried to the ropes and forced a break. As Edge backed off, PAC used the moment to kick Edge’s leg out from under him, then began targeting the left knee with stomps and low kicks. PAC dragged Edge to the apron, wrapping the leg around the steel ring post and yanking it twice. PAC then climbed to the top rope and hit a double stomp to the knee as Edge cried out in pain.
Mauro Ranallo: PAC targeting Edge’s knee… he knows that will make it difficult for Edge to hit the Spear.
Nigel McGuinness: Textbook from PAC – cut off the wheels and the rest will follow.
PAC kept up the assault with a snap dragon suplex, then transitioned into a brutal kneebar. Edge reached for the ropes, teeth gritted, and managed to grab the bottom rope… but PAC refused to break the hold! The referee threatened to disqualify PAC, and began counting, but PAC released Edge just before the count of 5. Edge limped to his feet and ducked a spin kick from PAC, responding with a big boot – but Edge’s leg gave out on impact, and both men were down. The crowd clapped and stomped in unison, willing Edge back to life. The two got up at the same time and began trading right hands. PAC was able to get the upper hand, and after hitting Edge with a series of punches, chops and kicks, he went for a discus forearm… but Edge ducked underneath it and grabbed PAC from behind, hitting the Edge-o-matic! He hooked both legs and the referee counted – 1… 2… PAC kicked out! Edge hobbled to the corner and signaled for the Spear… but as he charged, PAC leapfrogged him and grabbed Edge from behind, hitting a bridging German suplex! The referee counted – 1… 2… Edge kicked out just before the 3!
Mauro Ranallo: PAC nearly stole a victory there!
As he got to his feet, PAC snarled and stomped on Edge several times, then pointed to the top rope. He climbed up slowly, balanced on the top rope, and launched into the air for the Black Arrow… but Edge moved at the last second, and PAC crashed hard into the canvas! The crowd cheered as Edge scrambled to his feet, adrenaline surging. As both men got to their feet, Edge hit PAC with the Edgecution, then hooked the leg. The referee counted – 1… 2… PAC kicked out! As Edge got to his feet, he stepped back into the corner, pounding the mat as he waited for PAC to stand. When PAC was up, Edge charged full force towards him, hitting the Spear! Edge then made the cover, hooking the leg as the crowd counted along – 1… 2… 3!
Christy Hemme: Here is your winner… EDGE!
The bell rang and the crowd erupted once again as “Metalingus” blared through the arena. Edge sat up, hand raised by the referee, grinning through the pain as he looked around at the thousands of screaming fans.
Mauro Ranallo: Edge is moving on in the King of the Ring tournament, and what a battle he survived to get there!
Nigel McGuinness: PAC threw everything at him, but the grit and resilience of The Rated-R Superstar carried him through. This tournament just got a whole lot more interesting.
Edge climbed to the second rope and saluted the Toronto crowd, who gave him a standing ovation. Edge stood tall in the ring, celebrating as Warfare went off the air.
