Mauro Ranallo: Get ready folks… it’s time for Total Supremacy! Tonight, we are live from the sold out Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis! I’m Mauro Ranallo, joined as always by my friend and colleague, Nigel McGuinness.
Nigel McGuinness: I’m not sure I’d consider us friends, Mauro… but it’s great to be here with you tonight! And what a contest we have to kick things off. We’ve got Oedo Tai – Himeka and the EBWF Women’s Champion, Mina Shirakawa – in tag team action as they take on Nikki Cross and a mystery partner!
Oedo Tai's theme hit and the crowd cheered as Mina Shirakawa and Himeka stepped out onto the stage, accompanied by the newest member of Oedo Tai, Hikari Noa. Himeka walked ahead with purpose while Mina Shirakawa flaunted her title on her shoulder, blowing a kiss towards the camera. Hikari Noa walked behind them with a smirk, her presence adding to the group's menace.
Mauro Ranallo: Hikari Noa was recently revealed as the third member of Oedo Tai, adding even more danger to this already dominant group.
Nigel McGuinness: Himeka and Mina Shirakawa have been unstoppable, but tonight they face the unpredictable Nikki Cross and whoever she’s found to stand alongside her.
"Hunt You Down" by Saliva hit the speakers as helicopter sounds filled the arena. Nikki Cross emerged with a wild, manic grin, her eyes darting from side to side as she stomped down the ramp.
Mauro Ranallo: There’s chaos wherever Nikki Cross goes, and tonight she’s promising something big with this mystery partner.
Nikki stood at the bottom of the ramp, laughing to herself, before pointing back at the stage. Suddenly, "All The Things She Said" by t.A.T.u. blasted out, sending a shockwave through the crowd.
Nigel McGuinness: Wait a minute… is that… it is! Victoria is here at Total Supremacy!
Victoria walked out onto the stage, clad in her classic black and red gear, hair tied back tightly, glaring at the ring. The crowd erupted at the initial sight of her return, but as Nikki Cross cackled and rushed to Victoria's side, the two wasted no time sprinting down the ramp.
Mauro Ranallo: What a return for Victoria! We haven’t seen her wrestle in over two years!
Nikki and Victoria slid into the ring under the bottom rope, immediately charging at Mina and Himeka before the referee could even signal for the bell. The crowd's cheers quickly turned to boos as Victoria hammered Mina with forearms in the corner while Nikki stomped Himeka down to a seated position.
Nigel McGuinness: They’re not here to play nice, Mauro. Nikki Cross and Victoria are tearing into Oedo Tai before the match even starts!
The referee finally forced Victoria back to the apron, then called for the bell to officially start the match. Nikki bit Himeka’s forehead to loud boos, then hit a running neck snap before tagging in Victoria. Victoria stomped Himeka in the midsection, then whipped her into the ropes and caught her with a stiff clothesline.
Mauro Ranallo: Victoria looks like she hasn’t missed a day, Nigel. That was a brutal clothesline.
Victoria lifted Himeka up for a slingshot suplex, holding her vertically for a few seconds before slamming her down. She went for an early cover. The referee counted - 1… 2… Kickout by Himeka!
Nikki screamed from the apron, urging Victoria to stay on her. Victoria tagged Nikki back in, and the two women hit a double team Russian leg sweep before Nikki hooked the leg again. The referee counted - 1… 2… Another kickout by Himeka!
Nigel McGuinness: Himeka’s resilience is unmatched. She’s taken a beating here, but she’s still in this.
Nikki pulled Himeka up by the hair, but Himeka exploded with a back elbow, followed by a running knee lift. The crowd roared as she crawled towards her corner and tagged in Mina Shirakawa. Mina vaulted over the ropes, hitting Nikki with a running forearm, then knocked Victoria off the apron with a stiff elbow. Nikki tried to clothesline Mina, but Mina ducked and caught her with a spinning backfist that dropped her to one knee. Mina then hit a snap DDT, floating into the cover. The referee counted – 1… 2… Victoria broke up the pin with a hard kick to Mina’s back!
Mauro Ranallo: Victoria saves the match there for her team, but the referee needs to restore order.
Victoria tried to attack Mina again, but Himeka intercepted her with a shoulder tackle that sent Victoria rolling out of the ring. Himeka followed her to the outside, leaving Nikki and Mina in the ring. Nikki screamed and ran at Mina for a crossbody, but Mina caught her mid-air and planted her with a powerslam.
Nigel McGuinness: The strength of Mina Shirakawa! Cross just got flattened!
The camera cut to the outside, where Victoria had just thrown Himeka into the ringside barrier. Victoria then re-entered the ring, and Mina went to hit her with a clothesline… but Victoria ducked underneath it, before hitting Mina with a superkick! Victoria then dragged Nikki to the corner, climbed onto the ring apron, and tagged herself in. As Victoria re-entered the ring, she lifted Mina onto her shoulders, setting her up for the Widow’s Peak… but Mina countered with a backslide pin! The referee counted – 1… 2… Victoria kicked out! As both women got to their feet, Mina caught Victoria off guard with a swift kick to the midsection, then lifted her up, hitting the Glamorous Driver MINA to a massive reaction from the crowd.
Mauro Ranallo: MAMMA MIA! Mina just planted Victoria with the Glamorous Driver MINA!
Mina hooked the leg tightly as the referee counted – 1… 2… 3! The crowd roared as Mina rolled off Victoria, breathing heavily as Himeka re-entered the ring to stand by her side.
Christy Hemme: Here are your winners… Himeka and the EBWF Women’s Champion, Mina Shirakawa… OEDO TAI!
Nigel McGuinness: What a victory for Oedo Tai to kick off Total Supremacy!
Mina and Himeka raised their arms in victory, but the celebration was cut short as Nikki Cross tackled Mina from behind. Victoria staggered back up and grabbed Himeka by the hair, throwing her into the turnbuckle before stomping her down repeatedly.
Mauro Ranallo: Oh come on! They’ve already lost the match, what is this about?
Nikki grabbed Mina by the face, screaming something inaudible, before slapping her hard. As Victoria stomped on Himeka, Hikari Noa slid into the ring, to a pop from the crowd. She charged at Nikki Cross, tackling her to the mat with punches before turning and catching Victoria with a stiff shoot kick to the chest. Victoria stumbled back, and Himeka rose to her feet, grabbing Victoria from behind and hitting a German suplex.
Nigel McGuinness: Hikari Noa making the save for her Oedo Tai sisters!
Mina pulled herself up, glaring down at Nikki Cross, who scrambled to the outside, dragging Victoria with her. Oedo Tai stood tall in the ring, Hikari raising Mina’s arm while Himeka stood over Victoria’s fallen body, yelling down at her.
Mauro Ranallo: Chaos to kick off Total Supremacy, but Oedo Tai stand victorious here tonight!
Nigel McGuinness: And you know Nikki Cross and Victoria won’t take this loss lightly, Mauro. This is far from over.
The camera focused on Mina clutching her Women’s Championship tightly as Hikari Noa and Himeka stood beside her. The crowd cheered for Oedo Tai as a video package began to play promoting the next match.
Christy Hemme: The following contest is a semi-final match in the Queen of the Ring tournament and is scheduled for one fall…
“The Epic” by Downstait hit and the Gainbridge Fieldhouse erupted as Britt Baker headed to the ring, swaggering with confidence. As she reached the bottom of the ramp, she raised her hands with a smirk before she entered the ring.
Christy Hemme: Introducing first… From Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania… Britt Baker!
Mauro Ranallo: Britt Baker made it to this match tonight by beating Liv Morgan in a triple threat match that also included Rhea Ripley.
Nigel McGuinness: She’s said that she would love to face Trish in the finals. She has the ability to do so, but will she? Will Trish, for that matter?
“Celtic Invasion” by CFO$ hit the PA System and the roof was blown completely off of the building as the crowd erupted in cheers. The cheering from the crowd only intensified once Becky stepped through the curtain and onto the stage. On the stage, Becky paused to look around at the capacity crowd that’s giving her the ovation before she began making her way down the entrance ramp.
Christy Hemme: Her opponent… From Dublin, Ireland… Becky Lynch!
Mauro Ranallo: Becky Lynch is a two-time Queen of the Ring, and she would love nothing more to win it a third time.
Nigel McGuinness: She definitely has it in her to do it. She could be the odds-on favorite.
Becky climbed up onto the apron and entered the ring as her theme faded out. The opening bell sounded, and Becky and Britt locked up with Britt getting Becky into the side headlock. Becky reversed by sending Britt to the ropes. After Britt bounced off the ropes, Becky lied down and Britt jumped over her. Once Becky got to her feet, Britt attempted a crossbody, but Becky caught her and slammed her down. Britt quickly got to her feet and she locked up with Becky again. This time, Becky wrung Britt’s arm only for Britt to reverse into a Russian Legsweep.
Mauro Ranallo: So far, Britt has been a step ahead of Becky.
Nigel McGuinness: I know Becky said before that she knows this isn’t the same Britt she faced all those years ago, and Britt is proving it early on. However, I’d be remiss if I were to count out Becky’s ability to cause the momentum to swing her way.
Becky kipped up and reversed the arm wring, only for Britt to re-reverse it. Becky reversed it into an Irish Whip. After Britt bounced off the ropes, she ducked a clothesline attempt and when she bounced off the ropes again, she caught Becky with a Sling Blade and quickly went for the cover. 1… 2… Becky kicked out. Britt quickly placed Becky into another arm lock, only to hop up and drive her knees into Becky’s arm before placing her back into the arm lock. Becky didn’t stay in the move too long as she rolled backward and got to her feet, and then she attempted an Irish whip that Britt reversed. After Becky bounced off the ropes, Britt attempted to lift her up only for Becky to land on her feet behind Britt, and attempted a roll-up. 1… 2… Britt kicked out. They got to their feet and Britt ran at Becky, who took Britt down with an arm drag and placed her in an armlock.
Mauro Ranallo: Now, Becky’s in control.
Nigel McGuinness: What did I tell you? Becky is extremely resourceful and knows how to get the momentum on her side.
Britt struggled a little, but got to her feet and she threw Becky into the ropes. After bouncing off the ropes, Becky knocked Britt down with a Leg Lariat. Becky quickly ran to the ropes and jumped over Britt. After bouncing off the ropes again, Britt attempted to lift Becky up, and again Becky landed on her feet behind Britt. This time when she landed, Becky dropped Britt with a Russian Legsweep. Becky picked Britt up and threw her with a hip toss. Britt quickly got back up and charged at Becky, who took her down with a Japanese arm drag. Britt got up again and was taken down with another Japanese arm drag. Britt then slid out of the ring to take a breather.
Mauro Ranallo: Becky’s in firm control at the moment as Britt slides out of the ring to take a little time out.
Nigel McGuinness: It’s a smart idea on Britt’s part, but I don’t think she’ll be alone for too long.
After a few minutes, Britt re-entered the ring when Becky’s back was turned, only for Becky to turn around. Britt punched Becky in the stomach and then the head, knocking Becky to the ground. Britt punched Becky in the head as she sat up. When Becky got to her feet, Britt grabbed her by the head and attempted to ram Becky’s face into the turnbuckle, but Becky reversed and instead rammed Britt’s face into the turnbuckle. Britt turned around and Becky started throwing punches to her stomach. Becky attempted to whip Britt to the opposite corner, but Britt reversed and sent Becky to the corner, and it caused Becky’s sternum to slam into the turnbuckle. Britt picked Becky up only to send her back down with a scoop slam. Britt climbed up to the second rope and landed on Becky with a body splash. Britt attempted a pinfall. 1… 2… Becky kicked out just before the 3!
Mauro Ranallo: Britt was a split second away from advancing to the finals.
Nigel McGuinness: Becky still has a lot of fight left in her.
Before Becky had the chance to get up, Britt placed Becky into a camel clutch, but Becky found it within herself to get up, but once she got up, Britt placed Becky in the corner and choked her. Once the referee got to three, Britt relinquished the hold and Becky dropped to a seated position. With Becky in a seated position, Britt stomped on her chest and then moved to the opposite side of the ring. As Becky got to her feet in the corner, Britt ran at her and nailed her with a Corner Splash. Britt moved to the opposite side of the ring again, only this time she gestured “D…M…D” as Becky struggled to get to her feet. Once Becky got to her feet, Britt was right on her with a punch that caused Becky to drop to her knees. Britt picked Becky up and whipped her to the ropes. After Becky bounced off the ropes, Britt attempted to pick her up, but Becky reversed once again and landed on her feet behind Britt like she did before. Becky grabbed Britt and ran her to the ropes in an obvious roll-up attempt, but Britt ducked at the last second and it sent Becky to the outside. With Becky on the outside, the referee began to count.
Mauro Ranallo: Britt sent Becky to the outside and the Lass Kicker looks to be out.
Nigel McGuinness: I think you’re mistaken. Becky might be down but she’s not out.
At the count of four, Becky grabbed the ropes and used them to help her roll into the ring under the bottom rope. With Becky back in the ring, Britt stomped on her and then she picked Becky up and backed her into the corner. She whipped Becky into the opposite corner. With Becky in the corner, Britt threw some more punches until Becky dropped down to one knee. Britt moved behind Becky and sat up on the top turnbuckle, and then she started choking Becky. The referee counted and at the count of four, Britt dropped Becky down to the mat. Britt dropped down to the mat herself and moved Becky over to the ropes as Becky got to her knees. With Becky against the middle rope, Britt started to choke her while the referee begins to count. The referee made it to four before Britt let go and Becky dropped down to the mat.
Mauro Ranallo: Both ladies are really taking it to each other tonight.
Nigel McGuinness: They both have the same goal in mind and that’s to advance to the finals and Queen of the Ring.
Becky staggered to her feet and Britt walked up and punched her, knocking her back down. After Becky was knocked down, Britt grabbed her by the head and picked her up, and she backed Becky into a corner. With Becky in the corner, Britt threw chops at her chest and then she whipped Becky to the opposite corner. With Becky in the opposite corner, Britt ran at her and nailed her with another Corner Splash. After Becky dropped to the mat, Britt picked her up and started choking her while the referee started counting. After the referee counted to three, Britt backed off and then she ran at Becky again. This time, Becky fought back by kicking Britt in the midsection. After being kicked in the midsection, Britt backed away and Becky started punching her in the face to which Britt responded by elbowing Becky in the face. Britt attempted to whip Becky to the ropes, but Becky countered and sent her to the ropes. With Britt oncoming, Becky attempted a side kick, but Britt countered it into a dragon screw.
Mauro Ranallo: For a brief moment, we saw that fire returning in Becky.
Nigel McGuinness: Yeah, but Britt was quick to extinguish any kind of comeback, if only for the time being.
Britt attempted to pin Becky. 1… 2… Becky kicked out. Britt went over to the corner and climbed up to the top rope. On the top rope, Britt did her “DMD” taunt and then she jumped off the top rope, nailing Becky with a big splash. After the high-risk maneuver, Britt attempted a pinfall. 1… 2… No! Becky kicked out right at the last second! The crowd were shocked and stunned that despite all of the pain that she’d been through for a good portion of the match, Becky got her shoulder up. It even shocked Britt, who decided to try her luck again on the top rope.
Mauro Ranallo: I don’t believe it. After all she’s been through in the last five minutes, Becky still managed to kick out.
Nigel McGuinness: Becky is driven to make it to the finals so she can become a three-time Queen of the Ring.
Britt jumped off the top rope once again, only this time Becky rolled out of the way and Britt crashed into the mat. With Britt writhing in pain, Becky found the strength to get back to her feet as the crowd was behind both ladies in this match. Becky walked over to Britt and punched Britt in the face. With Britt reeling on the ropes, Becky whipped her to the ropes on the opposite side of the ring. As Britt came back, Becky caught her with a side kick and followed up with a Bexploder Suplex. Becky attempted a pinfall. 1… 2… Britt kicked out. Becky picked Britt up and dropped her with Bex-Plex and attempted another pinfall. 1… 2… Britt kicked out. Becky picked Britt up and dropped her with a Fisherman’s Neckbreaker. Becky went up to the top rope and landed on Britt with a Diving Leg Drop but she didn’t go for the cover. Instead, Becky decided to lock Britt in the Dis-Arm-Her, but Britt quickly got to the ropes. Britt attempted to hit the Rolling Elbow, but Becky caught her with another side kick. Becky bounced off the ropes and sent Britt down with Leg Lariat. Becky picked Britt up and hit her with a European Uppercut, backing Britt into the ropes. Becky hung Britt up on the top rope by her arms and threw punches at her as the referee counted. After making it to four, Becky yelled at the referee before running to the ropes. Britt ducked and ran to the ropes and both ladies met in the middle with Britt catching Becky with a running variant of the Rolling Elbow. She went for the pin. 1… 2… No! Becky somehow managed to kick out, and that surprised Britt.
Mauro Ranallo: Where does Becky get it?
Nigel McGuinness: It’s just a natural instinct for Becky. It’s her drive to be the best. It’s what earned her the accolades she has in and out of wrestling.
Britt picked Becky up and attempted a suplex. The first two times, Becky blocked it only to suplex both Britt and herself outside of the ring. The referee started counting and Britt got on the apron. As Becky got up, Britt jumped off and nailed Becky with a crossbody before entering the ring as the referee continued to count. Becky climbed up onto the apron as the referee made it to the count of seven. Britt attempted to suplex Becky back into the ring, but Becky landed on her feet behind Britt. With Becky behind Britt, she attempted to roll her up, but Britt blocked and moved behind Becky. Behind Becky, Britt attempted a suplex but Becky did a back flip and landed on her feet behind Britt. Once Britt turned around, Becky lifted her up and slammed her down with the Manhandle Slam.
Mauro Ranallo: MANHANDLE SLAM!
Nigel McGuinness: It’s over!
With Britt out cold, Becky went for the pin. The referee counted – 1… 2… 3! The bell sounded and the crowd cheered as “Celtic Invasion” hit the PA System once again.
Christy Hemme: Here’s your winner… advancing to the final… BECKY LYNCH!
The referee raised Becky’s arm.
Mauro Ranallo: I don’t know how she did it. Becky took a tremendous amount of punishment.
Nigel McGuinness: Yeah, and so did Britt. You can’t take anything away from either of them.
As Becky continued to celebrate her victory, Britt managed to make it to her feet. Becky turned around right at the second that Britt made it to her feet. Both ladies stared at each other in what looked to be a tense, volatile situation. A sudden feeling of uncertainty washed over the crowd and the commentators alike. After a few tense moments while both ladies stared at each other, Becky held out her hand.
Mauro Ranallo: Are you seeing what I’m seeing?
Nigel McGuinness: Yeah. I’m shocked considering their past.
Once Becky held out her hand for a handshake, Britt looked down with a shocked look on her face. Another few tense moments went by until Britt ultimately accepted the handshake. In response, Becky patted Britt on the back and leaned forward to whisper into Britt’s ear.
Becky Lynch: I’m proud of you and how hard you fought. Until next time.
Britt nodded, patted Becky on the shoulder, then exited the ring, leaving Becky to celebrate. Becky climbed the turnbuckle and raised her arms triumphantly, then exited the ring and made her way up the ramp.
Mauro Ranallo: Here we go, Nigel. The first semi-final in this year’s King of the Ring tournament… CM Punk versus Edge. Two men with storied EBWF histories, and only one can advance to tonight’s final.
Nigel McGuinness: And listen to this crowd, Mauro. They respect both of these men. This is going to be a war.
“Cult of Personality” by Living Colour hit and the arena erupted with loud cheers and chants of “CM Punk! CM Punk!” Punk walked onto the stage, a focused glare on his face, cracking his neck as he made his way down the ramp.
Mauro Ranallo: CM Punk is laser focused tonight. He’s made it clear he wants to headline Gateway to Glory and regain the EBWF World Championship from Adam Cole.
When Punk was in the ring, “Metalingus” by Alter Bridge blasted through the speakers, and the cheers grew even louder as Edge emerged, hyped and intense, slapping the hands of fans along the ramp before stopping on the stage to pose.
Nigel McGuinness: The Rated-R Superstar is looking to add King of the Ring to his long list of accolades.
As Edge entered the ring, Punk stepped forward, the two men staring each other down as the referee called for the bell. The crowd broke into dueling chants of “Let’s go Edge!” and “CM Punk!” as both men circled each other, then locked up in the center of the ring. Punk gained control first with a side headlock, wrenching Edge down to a knee. Edge shoved Punk off into the ropes, but Punk bounced back with a shoulder tackle, knocking Edge down. Punk ran against the ropes again, but Edge kipped up and caught Punk with a deep arm drag. Punk got to his feet, only to be taken down with another arm drag, and Edge held on with an armbar.
Mauro Ranallo: Edge using his technical skills to slow down Punk’s momentum early on.
Punk fought to his feet and backed Edge into the corner, forcing the break. As Edge released the hold, Punk hit a quick kick to the midsection, then chopped Edge across the chest. Edge winced, and Punk hit another chop, but Edge shoved him away and hit a big boot, sending Punk sprawling to the mat. Edge hooked the leg – 1… 2… Punk kicked out!
Nigel McGuinness: Early pinfall attempts force your opponent to expend energy. Smart strategy from Edge.
Edge pulled Punk to his feet and whipped him into the corner, following up with a running clothesline. As Punk stumbled out, Edge hit a flapjack, driving Punk face first into the mat. Edge covered again – 1… 2… Punk kicked out once more.
Mauro Ranallo: Edge controlling the pace, but you can never count CM Punk out.
Edge set Punk up for the Edgecution DDT, but Punk blocked it, countering with a snap suplex. Both men were down briefly before Punk crawled over and locked in a headscissors, driving elbows into Edge’s neck. Edge reached out for the ropes, forcing the break. Punk stood and began stomping Edge’s back viciously before pulling him up and hitting a swinging neckbreaker. He hooked the leg – 1… 2… Edge kicked out!
Nigel McGuinness: Back and forth, back and forth. Both men want this badly.
Punk pulled Edge up again, hitting a knee strike to the gut, then lifted him for the GTS… but Edge elbowed Punk repeatedly in the head then wriggled free, before hitting the Edge-O-Matic! He hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1… 2… Punk kicked out!
Mauro Ranallo: So close for Edge there!
Edge pounded the mat in frustration, then crouched in the corner, signaling for the Spear. The crowd roared in anticipation. As Punk got to his feet, Edge charged… but Punk leapfrogged him, and Edge collided into the corner! Punk grabbed Edge from behind and hit the Pepsi Twist, then signaled for the GTS once more. He hoisted Edge onto his shoulders, but Edge grabbed the top rope, preventing Punk from executing the move, then slid off Punk’s back to the apron. Punk turned to grab him, but Edge snapped Punk’s neck against the top rope, causing him to stagger backwards. Edge climbed the turnbuckle and launched off with a flying clothesline, taking Punk down!
Nigel McGuinness: Edge digging deep into his arsenal tonight!
Both men lay on the mat, catching their breath, before slowly getting to their feet. They exchanged hard right hands in the center of the ring, with the crowd cheering each strike. Punk gained the upper hand, hitting rapid forearms, then ran against the ropes… but Edge caught him with a big boot. Punk staggered, and Edge hit the Edgecution DDT! He hooked the leg – 1… 2… Punk kicked out at the last possible second!
Mauro Ranallo: How did Punk survive that!?
Edge sat back, breathing heavily, sweat pouring down his face. He looked around the arena, then nodded determinedly as he moved into the corner, pounding the mat as the crowd roared. Punk crawled to his feet, dazed. Edge charged forward – SPEAR! Edge hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1… 2… 3! The bell rang and “Metalingus” blasted through the arena as the referee raised Edge’s arm in victory.
Christy Hemme: Here is your winner… advancing to the King of the Ring final… EDGE!
Nigel McGuinness: Edge moves on to the final, but that was a war, Mauro. He’s going to have his work cut out for him against either Jericho or Orton later tonight.
Mauro Ranallo: A tremendous performance by both men, but Edge dug deep and pulled out the Spear for the win. The Rated-R Superstar is one step closer to being crowned King!
Edge got to his feet, leaning against the ropes with a tired grin, nodding at Punk in respect before climbing the turnbuckle to celebrate with the fans as the camera focused on him.
Christy Hemme: The following contest is a semi-final match in the Queen of the Ring tournament.
The crowd cheered as “Time to Rock & Roll (with Bossy intro)” hit, and Trish Stratus stepped out onto the stage. She stood at the top of the ramp, soaking it all in, then pointed to the fans and smiled before heading down the ramp.
Christy Hemme: Introducing first… From Toronto, Ontario, Canada… Trish Stratus!
Mauro Ranallo: Trish Stratus needs no introduction. She is simply a hall of famer.
Nigel McGuinness: Much like Becky was earlier, Trish is the odds-on favorite for this match.
Trish entered the ring and pointed at the crowd before she turned her attention toward the entrance.
“I am a shadow… I am tomorrow… I am a hero with a buggy whip…”
That line bellowed throughout the arena as the lighting changed instantly to shades of orange and red as “Teenage Nosferatu Pussy” by Rob Zombie hit the PA system, and the crowd gave a mixed reaction as Jamie Hayter walked through the entrance curtain onto the stage. Jamie stopped to raise her arms, and that triggered the pyro before she started walking down the entrance ramp with her eyes glued on Trish.
Christy Hemme: Her opponent… From Southampton, England… Jamie Hayter!!!
Mauro Ranallo: Out of the four women that made it to the semi-finals tonight, Jamie is the dark horse to win.
Nigel McGuinness: Also, out of the four semi-finalists we had this year, she’s the one that has the biggest chip on her shoulder.
Jamie climbed up onto the apron and entered the ring, still glaring at Trish. After entering the ring, Jamie’s theme faded out. The bell sounded and Jamie came face-to-face with Trish, and they started to trade punches. Jamie backed Trish into the corner with the punches, and she continued to punch Trish in the midsection. The referee started to count, and Jamie got right in his face before turning her attention back to Trish. Trish nailed Jamie with a back elbow and pushed Jamie into the corner where she started throwing punches of her own.
Mauro Ranallo: Trish is now on the offensive.
Nigel McGuinness: Did you expect her not to be?
Trish connected with a punch, and it knocked Jamie for a loop. Trish punched Jamie again and it knocked Jamie for a loop, and it repeated. Then, Trish whipped Jamie right into the ropes. After Jamie bounced off the ropes, Trish lowered her head, and Jamie caught her with a knee lift. Then, Jamie struck Trish with a Big Boot, knocking Trish to the ground. Jamie bounced off the ropes and nailed Trish with a Forearm drop. Then, she hit Trish with another Forearm drop, and another. Jamie then mounted Trish and started throwing more punches as the ref counted, but Jamie let up at the count of four.
Mauro Ranallo: Now, Jamie’s in control.
Nigel McGuinness: Like I said. She has a chip on her shoulder.
Jamie brought Trish up to her feet and whipped her to the ropes. After Trish bounced off the ropes, Jamie caught her arm and attempted a Hayterade variant, but Trish was able to pull away and then she left the ring. Jamie ran toward the ropes and dove through them, catching Trish with a suicide crossbody. Both ladies were down, but Jamie somehow made it to her feet first. She picked Trish up and rammed her head right into the steel steps. Then, Jamie whipped Trish right into the steel steps.
Mauro Ranallo: That sounded like a car wreck!
Nigel McGuinness: Well, Jamie’s doing this to prove a point. She wants to torture Trish Stratus. She wants to make people notice that she’s as dominant as they come.
Jamie picked Trish up and rammed her face into the barricade, and then she did it again. Jamie brought Trish back into the ring by rolling her in under the bottom rope. Jamie re-entered the ring and was attacked by Trish who hit her with an elbow drop to the back of the head. Then she started stomping on Jamie. Trish stomped Jamie until Jamie was in a seated position in the corner. With Jamie in the corner, Trish started choking her with her boot. The referee began to utilize the five count, but Trish broke on the count of four before she stomped Jamie.
Mauro Ranallo: Trish is in control now and she’s looking to take advantage.
Nigel McGuinness: She’d better. Jamie won’t go down easy.
Trish picked Jamie up and attempted to whip her to the ropes, but Jamie countered and instead sent Trish to the ropes. After Trish bounced off the ropes, Jamie attempted a Big Boot, but Trish ducked. On the rebound, Trish took Jamie down with the Lou Thesz Press and followed it up with punches. Trish missed a punch and that allowed Jamie to turn the tables. Jamie threw punishing Forearms into Trish’s face. After she let up, Jamie grabbed Trish’s leg and repeatedly stomped on it until Trish kicked Jamie off. After getting to her feet, Trish was seen limping a little and with Jamie being as smart as she is, decided to take Trish down with a chop block.
Mauro Ranallo: Jamie just gave herself an opening on Trish.
Nigel McGuinness: Trish should’ve stayed on her.
With Trish in a prone position, Jamie attempted to lock in the Haytred (Boston Crab) but Trish Jamie off, sending her crashing to the floor on the outside. Trish got to her feet and she left the ring in pursuit of Jamie, and she dove off of the apron, nailing Jamie with an axe handle. Trish picked Jamie up and she whipped Jamie right into the steel steps. Then, Trish rammed Jamie’s face right into the barricade. Trish walked up to Jamie and started stomping on her. Then Trish stepped on Jamie’s throat, choking her.
Mauro Ranallo: Now, Trish is choking Jamie with her boot.
Nigel McGuinness: See what happens when people take my advice?
After a four count, Trish relinquished the choke. She brought Jamie up to her feet and rolled her into the ring. As Trish re-entered the ring, Jamie got to her feet and staggered into the corner. With Jamie in the corner, Trish started throwing punches. Trish then whipped Jamie into the opposite corner and the impact caused Jamie to fall to her back. Jamie rolled out of the ring, but Trish followed after her and punched Jamie before rolling her right back into the ring. After re-entering the ring, Trish immediately placed Jamie into a sleeper hold.
Mauro Ranallo: Trish with an uncharacteristic Sleeper Hold.
Nigel McGuinness: To beat Jamie Hayter, you need to try anything.
Jamie managed to make it to her feet. After making it back to her feet, Jamie elbowed Trish in the stomach a few times and then punched her in the stomach in order to get Trish to release the hold. Jamie then bounced off the ropes, but Trish got her with a dropkick. Both Jamie and Trish got to their feet, and Trish took Jamie down with a vertical suplex. Then, Trish climbed to the top rope.
Mauro Ranallo: Trish is going up to the top rope.
Nigel McGuinness: What’s she going to do?
Once Jamie got to her feet, Trish jumped off the turnbuckle and landed a diving crossbody with a pinfall attempt. 1… 2… Jamie kicked out! Trish immediately applied another sleeper hold, but Jamie was able to break out of it and get to her feet. Jamie then ran against the ropes, but as she charged towards Trish, Trish took her down with a spear. With Jamie down, Trish climbed to the top rope. When Jamie got to her feet, Trish landed another Diving Crossbody, but Jamie rolled backwards with Trish still in the position. The powerful Hayter rolled back until she was on her feet again and she dropped Trish with a swinging variant of the HayteBreaker.
Mauro Ranallo: Jamie just reversed the diving crossbody by turning it into the HayteBreaker.
Nigel McGuinness: Now, the ball is in Jamie’s court.
Jamie lay in wait for Trish and once Trish pushed herself up to her feet, Jamie ran toward Trish and attempted the running variant of the Hayterade, but Trish saw it coming and ducked. As Jamie turned around, Trish caught her with a Chick Kick! Jamie stumbled, but stayed on her feet. Trish looked momentarily stunned, but quickly regained her composure and grabbed Jamie, hitting the Stratusfaction! She hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1… 2… 3!
Christy Hemme: Here’s your winner… advancing to the final… Trish Stratus!!!
Mauro Ranallo: After a hard-fought match, Trish advances to the finals.
Nigel McGuinness: Now, she’s going to face someone she’s never wanted to face again.
Trish briefly celebrated, then exited the ring and made her way up the ramp. As Trish walked up the ramp, Jamie sat up and glared at her. She rolled out the ring, ran up to Trish, and knocked her down with the running variant of the Hayterade, causing the music to abruptly cut. Jamie then dragged Trish to her feet, only to drop her with the Storm Zero (Piledriver) on the stage!
Mauro Ranallo: A Storm Zero on the stage!
Nigel McGuinness: How’s Trish going to fight Becky in the finals?
Smirking, Jamie exited through the curtain as the medical team checked on Trish.
Mauro Ranallo: Up next, it’s the second semi-final in this year’s King of the Ring tournament… and what a match it’s going to be. Chris Jericho versus Randy Orton. The winner will face Edge in tonight’s final.
Nigel McGuinness: Two legends of EBWF, two men who know each other inside and out. It’s going to come down to who makes the fewest mistakes.
“Counting Bodies Like Sheep” by A Perfect Circle hit to a huge reaction from the Indianapolis crowd as Randy Orton stepped onto the stage, his trademark cold stare locked on the ring as he walked slowly down the ramp.
Mauro Ranallo: Listen to this ovation for Randy Orton. A former King of the Ring winner himself, he knows what it takes to win this tournament.
When Orton was in the ring, “Judas” by Fozzy hit and Chris Jericho emerged, arms outstretched, singing along with the crowd. As Jericho walked down the ramp, he tapped his chest and pointed up towards the sky before focusing his glare on Orton in the ring.
Nigel McGuinness: Jericho’s been saying all week that 2025 will be his year – and what better way to prove it than by becoming King of the Ring and ending Adam Cole’s championship reign at Gateway to Glory?
As the bell rang, the crowd erupted with duelling chants of “Let’s go Randy!” and “Y2J!” Both men circled each other, locking up in the centre of the ring. Orton backed Jericho into the corner, but Jericho reversed, chopping Orton hard across the chest. Orton winced and shoved Jericho back before hitting him with a stiff European uppercut.
Mauro Ranallo: This one’s going to be physical, Nigel. Both men know each other’s arsenals so well.
Jericho staggered back, but quickly rebounded off the ropes, catching Orton with a running forearm. As Orton got to his feet, Jericho hit a bulldog, then followed up with a Lionsault attempt. Orton rolled out of the way… but Jericho landed on his feet!
Nigel McGuinness: Lightning quick reaction there from Jericho!
Jericho grabbed Orton, and went to whip him against the ropes… but Orton reversed the Irish whip, sending Jericho into the ropes before hitting a snap scoop powerslam. He hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1… 2… Jericho kicked out! Orton pulled Jericho to his feet, setting him up for an inverted headlock backbreaker, but blocked it, then spun around and hit a Codebreaker out of nowhere! Jericho hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1… 2… Orton got his foot on the bottom rope!
Mauro Ranallo: MAMMA MIA! Jericho almost stole it right there, but Orton’s ring awareness saved him.
Jericho shook his head in frustration, stomped on Orton several times, then stepped back and signaled for the Judas Effect. When Orton was up, Jericho went for it… but Orton ducked underneath it, then hit Jericho with a dropkick! Both men got to their feet, and Orton went for the inverted headlock backbreaker once more… this time, he hit it! As Jericho writhed in pain, Orton began pounding the mat, signaling for the RKO. He stalked Jericho, waiting for him to rise, then grabbed him… but Jericho rolled Orton up, countering with a schoolboy pin attempt! The referee counted – 1… 2… Orton kicked out!
Nigel McGuinness: Back and forth, back and forth… either man could take this at any moment!
Both men scrambled to their feet and collided in the center of the ring, exchanging hard right hands back and forth. Orton got the upper hand with a stiff uppercut, then whipped Jericho into the corner. Orton charged for a clothesline, but Jericho got a boot up, causing Orton to stagger backwards. Jericho climbed to the top rope and leapt off it, nailing Orton with a diving crossbody. He then grabbed Orton by the legs, locking in the Walls of Jericho! Orton cried out in pain, but he was able to get to the ropes and the referee ordered Jericho to break the hold. Jericho did so, then immediately tried to drag Orton away from the ropes… but as he did so, Orton clobbered him with a forearm, then dragged Jericho into the corner and slammed his head against the turnbuckle before placing him in the ropes and hitting a rope hung DDT. He hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1… 2… Jericho kicked out just before the 3!
Mauro Ranallo: Both of these men are giving it their absolute all tonight, Nigel! What is it going to take to end this thing?
Orton signaled for the RKO once more, and this time, he hit it! But Jericho instinctively rolled out of the ring as he hit the mat, landing on the floor! Frustrated, Orton exited the ring and dragged Jericho to his feet, throwing him back into the ring. Orton then slid back into the ring and hooked the leg – 1… 2… Jericho kicked out! Orton pounded the mat in frustration, then got to his feet and stepped back, signaling for the Punt Kick!
Nigel McGuinness: We haven’t seen Orton use the Punt Kick for a long time… but desperate times call for desperate measures, Mauro!
Orton charged towards Jericho, going for the Punt, but Jericho rolled out of the way at the last second! Both men staggered to their feet, exhaustion etched across their faces. Orton went for another RKO, but Jericho spun out of it and hit the Judas Effect! Jericho collapsed onto Orton, hooking the leg as the referee counted – 1… 2… 3! The bell rang as “Judas” hit the speakers, and the crowd erupted in a mixed but electric reaction.
Christy Hemme: Here is your winner… advancing to the King of the Ring final… CHRIS JERICHO!
Nigel McGuinness: What a match! Jericho advances to face Edge in the final, but look at him, Mauro… he’s absolutely spent.
Jericho lay on the mat, breathing heavily, sweat pouring down his face as he sat up and raised his arm weakly in victory. Orton rolled over onto his hands and knees, glaring down at the canvas, disappointment etched across his face.
Mauro Ranallo: Randy Orton gave it everything tonight, but it just wasn’t enough to keep Jericho down. The question now is… does Jericho have enough left in the tank for Edge?
Jericho slowly got to his feet as Orton stood up opposite him. The two men locked eyes for a moment before Orton extended his hand. Jericho paused, then nodded and shook it firmly. The crowd roared with respect for both men.
Nigel McGuinness: A true show of sportsmanship there from Randy Orton. Both of these men are legends, and they proved why tonight.
Jericho leaned against the ropes, looking up towards the stage with a tired but determined grin as the camera focused on him.
Mauro Ranallo: Chris Jericho versus Edge… one of the greatest rivalries in EBWF history reignites tonight in the King of the Ring final!
The camera faded to a video package for the Queen of the Ring final.
Christy Hemme: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is to determine the 2025 Queen of the Ring!
The crowd gave off a mixed reaction as “Time to Rock & Roll (with Bossy intro)” hit, and Trish Stratus stepped out onto the stage while holding her neck. She stood at the top of the ramp, soaking it all in, then pointed to the fans and smiled before heading down the ramp.
Christy Hemme: Introducing first… From Toronto, Ontario, Canada… Trish Stratus!
Mauro Ranallo: Trish managed to get past Jamie Hayter and I think she’s definitely worse for the wear than she’s letting on.
Nigel McGuinness: I don’t know how she’s going to compete after Jamie gave her the Storm Zero on the stage.
Trish entered the ring and pointed at the crowd before she turned her attention toward the entrance.
“Celtic Invasion” by CFO$ hit the PA System and the crowd gave another mixed reaction as Becky Lynch stepped through the curtain and onto the stage. On the stage, Becky paused to look around at the capacity crowd before she began making her way down the entrance ramp.
Christy Hemme: Her opponent… From Dublin, Ireland… Becky Lynch!
Mauro Ranallo: Becky went through an absolute war with Britt Baker earlier tonight, and just like Trish, I think she’s more hurt than she’s letting on.
Nigel McGuinness: No doubt. She went through a tremendous amount of punishment before she managed to put Britt away.
Becky climbed up onto the apron and entered the ring as her theme faded out. The opening bell sounded and there were duelling chants for Becky and Trish, who almost immediately locked up in a collar-and-elbow tie-up. With neither being able to capitalize, they broke apart, only to lock up in another collar-and-elbow tie-up. This time, however, Trish managed to take Becky down, but Becky was quick to turn over and flip Trish over onto her back. Trish reacted quickly, rolling over onto her stomach in order to avoid any chance of a pinfall, and Becky applied a front facelock. Trish managed to slip out of it and attempted to drive Becky’s face into the mat, but Becky was quicker in the exchange, and placed Trish back into the front facelock. Becky immediately attempted to lock in the Dis-Arm-Her, but Trish slipped right out of it and put Becky in a headlock. Becky broke free and managed to take Trish down with a headlock takeover, but Trish rolled away then got back to her feet. As Becky got back to her feet, the two women stared one another down as the crowd cheered and applauded the exchange, showing respect for the two athletes.
Mauro Ranallo: So far, these two are evenly matched in the early going.
Nigel McGuinness: Like we said earlier, if they’re hurt then they aren’t letting it show.
The two women began exchanging right hands, and after gaining the upper hand, Becky whipped Trish into the corner. Trapping Trish in the corner, Becky continued to pummel Trish as the referee got between them, ordering Becky to break it up.
Mauro Ranallo: The referee’s right on top of the action here.
Nigel McGuinness: Yeah, he isn’t letting anything go.
Becky backed off, letting Trish out of the corner. When Trish was out of the corner, Becky grabbed her, setting her up for a DDT, but Trish countered with a bridging Northern Lights Suplex. The referee counted – 1… 2… Becky kicked out! As Trish got to her feet, she attempted to lock Becky in the Sharpshooter once again, but Becky blocked it, then rolled Trish up into an inside cradle! The referee counted – 1… 2… Trish kicked out! As both women got back to their feet, the crowd once again applauded the exchange.
Mauro Ranallo: This crowd is showing appreciation toward Becky and Trish.
Nigel McGuinness: Why wouldn’t they? This match has been a treat so far.
Trish charged towards Becky taking her down to the mat with a double leg takedown, but Becky instinctively placed her into a grounded side headlock. Trish attempted to roll out of it, and once she did, Becky quickly moved to her arm in another attempt at the Dis-Arm-Her. Trish was quick enough to pull herself over to the bottom rope and wrap her arm around it. The referee was quick to react.
Referee: Come on, break it up! ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR!
Becky let up and both competitors got back to their feet. The two locked up and Becky attempted the Dis-Arm-Her for a third time, but once again, Trish was quick enough to pull herself over to the rope and grab it. Becky let up, this time without the referee telling her to, and Trish rolled out of the ring to get a breather. Becky tried to go after Trish, but the referee stopped her. Becky yelled at Trish to get back in the ring while the referee held her back. The referee looked outside and started counting. – 1… 2… 3… Trish re-entered the ring and the hit Becky with a series of punches. Becky fought back with some right hands of her own, then dragged Trish down to the mat and locked in the Dis-Arm-Her once again. Trish was close enough to grab the bottom rope… and this time, a frustrated Becky Lynch refused to break the hold!
Referee: Come on, break it up! ONE! TWO! THREE! FOUR!
Becky let up and the referee got right in her face.
Referee: When I tell you to break the hold, you break it!
Mauro Ranallo: Becky managed to lock in the Dis-Arm-Her, but unfortunately for her, Trish was too close to the ropes.
Nigel McGuinness: The referee is having stern words with Becky.
Becky responded with a middle finger to the referee, then turned her attention back to Trish. Trish got to her feet and nailed Becky with a Side Kick before following it up with a hard elbow to the side of Becky’s head, knocking her down to the ground. Trish picked Becky up by the head and threw her through the ropes to the outside. Trish left the ring in pursuit of Becky and picked him up by the head. With Becky’s head in her hands, Trish rammed it into the barricade. Trish grabbed Becky by the head again and walked her over to the announce tables, and she rammed Becky’s head against the Spanish Announce table. This caused the referee to leave the ring as Trish grabbed Becky by the head and drove it into the Spanish Announce table again. The referee yelled at Trish to bring Becky back into the ring, but Trish ignored him. Instead, Trish grabbed Becky by the arm and managed to whip her hard into the steel steps and the crowd let out a collective “OH!” The force was so great that Becky was grabbing her upper arm.
Mauro Ranallo: Wow, that just about knocked the steel steps out of place, and Becky is favoring her arm.
Nigel McGuinness: That’s not good for Becky, but it’s definitely good for Trish.
Trish picked Becky up by the head, and she rolled her right into the ring. Trish slid back into the ring after the referee counted to four. Immediately after returning to the ring, Trish stomped on Becky’s affected arm several times before pulling Becky to her feet and hitting a sitout powerbomb. She hooked both legs and the referee counted – 1… 2… Becky got the shoulder up. Trish picked Becky up and whipped her against the ropes, taking her down with a Spinebuster before attempting another pinfall. The referee counted – 1… 2… Becky got the shoulder up again. Trish pulled Becky to her feet and whipped her into the corner, punching her several times and causing Becky to drop to her knees. The referee tried to intervene, and Trish backed off momentarily… then began kicking Becky’s injured arm repeatedly! The referee pulled Trish away, then checked on Becky as Trish exited the ring. As Becky tried to get to her feet, Trish reached through the ropes, grabbing Becky and slamming her head against the edge of the ring!
Mauro Ranallo: So far, Trish has been in control. I should be surprised, especially after she suffered the Storm Zero on the stage earlier tonight, but maybe I shouldn’t be.
Nigel McGuinness: Yeah, even with Trish suffering from the Storm Zero on the stage at the hands of Jamie Hayter, I think the match with Britt Baker took too much out of Becky.
Trish slid back into the ring and threw Becky into the corner, then hit her with a forearm smash. Becky fired back with a kick to the midsection, before the two women began exchanging knife-edge chops. After gaining the upper hand, Becky attempted to whip Trish against the ropes… but Trish countered and sent Becky into the ropes instead. As Becky ran back towards her, Trish took her opponent down with a Lou Thesz Press, before pummeling Becky with piston-like punches against the ring mat. As Trish pulled Becky to her feet, she went to whip Becky against the ropes once more… but this time, Becky blocked it, pulling Trish back towards her before hitting the Bexploder Suplex! The crowd began chanting “This is awesome!” as both women lay on the mat, taking a moment to recover.
Mauro Ranallo: The momentum continues to swing back and forth in this match, Nigel!
Nigel McGuinness: Indeed, Mauro. Becky pulled off a nice counter with the Bexploder Suplex… now can she capitalize?
The referee checked on both competitors before initializing the count. 1… 2… 3… both competitors started to stir… 4… Trish got up just before Becky did, then hit her with a series of punches, causing Becky to back up into the corner. With Becky in the corner, Trish continued her onslaught by punching her in the face several more times before Becky managed to turn the tables on Trish, blocking a punch and grabbing Trish, throwing her into the corner. Becky hit Trish with a series of punches and kicks in the corner, then pulled her out of the corner and hit a fisherman’s neckbreaker. She hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1… 2… Trish kicked out!
Mauro Ranallo: This match is growing more physical as time progresses.
Nigel McGuinness: Despite the toll that the earlier matches took on them, neither Becky nor Trish want to slow down.
As both women got to their feet, they exchanged punches back and forth. This time, Trish gained the upper hand, and she grabbed Becky, setting her up for the Stratusfaction… but Becky blocked it, then hit another Bexploder Suplex! She hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1… 2… No! Trish managed to get the shoulder up. Becky pulled Trish to her feet and hit a Vertical Suplex, then hooked the leg once more. The referee counted – 1… 2… again Trish kicked out! Becky pulled Trish to her feet once more, this time whipping her into the corner. Becky sat Trish on the top turnbuckle, then climbed to the top rope and hit a superplex! After taking a couple of seconds to recover, Becky draped her arm over Trish. The referee counted – 1… 2… Trish kicked out just before the 3!
Mauro Ranallo: Trish got the shoulder up just in the nick of time.
Nigel McGuinness: I don’t think they’ll be able to keep each other down.
As both women got to their feet, Becky lifted Trish up for a back suplex… but Trish managed to land on her feet! As Becky spun around, Trish grabbed her by the legs, taking her down to the mat and locking in the Sharpshooter. Becky was close enough to grab the bottom rope… but that didn’t deter Trish, who pulled Becky to the center of the ring! As Trish tried to increase the pressure on the hold, Becky turned the tables, sweeping Trish’s feet out from under her and locking Trish into a Sharpshooter of her own!
Mauro Ranallo: Trish pulled Becky to the center of the ring and now Becky turned the tables. Trish is locked in the same move she shares with her best friend Natalya! Becky has Trish in the Sharpshooter! Could you imagine if Trish tapped out to that?
Nigel McGuinness: That’d be adding insult to injury, but with Trish in the middle of the ring, she might not have a choice!
The referee asked Trish if she wanted to give up and Trish screamed “NO!”, then managed to roll over and hit Becky with a series of punches, ultimately getting Becky to fully release the hold. As Trish got back to her feet, Becky took Trish down with a drop toe hold, then applied the Dis-Arm-Her! Trish quickly countered it, rolling Becky into a backslide pin! The referee counted – 1… 2… Becky kicked out! As both women got to their feet, Becky swung a right hand at Trish… but Trish blocked it, then dragged Becky down to the mat and put her into the Dis-Arm-Her! The crowd looked shocked as Becky cried out in pain.
Mauro Ranallo: The tables have turned and now Trish has Becky locked in the Dis-Arm-Her!
Nigel McGuinness: Turnabout is fair play. I mean, Becky put Trish in the Sharpshooter earlier.
The referee asked Becky if she wanted to give up. Becky shook her head defiantly, then began maneuvering her legs toward the ropes. The crowd cheered as Becky successfully placed her foot on the bottom rope. Trish broke the hold and got to her feet, then grabbed Becky by the ankles, dragging her back towards the center of the ring. Trish went for the Sharpshooter, but Becky kicked Trish away and got to her feet. She then grabbed Trish, setting her up for the hammerlock inverted DDT… but Trish blocked it, breaking free before nailing Becky with the Chick Kick!
Mauro Ranallo: MAMMA MIA! What a Chick Kick!
Nigel McGuinness: It has to be over now!
Trish hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1… 2… Right at the last millisecond, Becky got the shoulder! Trish looked stunned, and there were dueling chants of “Let’s Go Becky!” and “Let’s Go Trish!” Shaking her head in frustration, Trish pulled Becky to her feet and hit her with a Scoop Slam. Trish then went to the top rope, attempting a Moonsault… but right at the last second, Becky got her knees up! As Trish clutched her ribs, Becky pulled her to her feet and hit a backstabber, then climbed to the top rope herself. Becky leapt from the top rope, successfully connecting with the Diving Leg Drop! Becky appeared to hurt herself as she hit it, and after taking a moment to recover, she rolled over to Trish, hooking the leg. The referee counted – 1… 2… Trish kicked out just before the 3!
Mauro Ranallo: I can’t believe this, Nigel! The resilience both of these women are showing is incredible!
Nigel McGuinness: We are witnessing a Match of the Year contender right now, Mauro!
Becky shook her head in disbelief, then pulled Trish to her feet. She pulled Trish to her feet and set her up for a Back Suplex, but Trish blocked it, taking Becky down with a bulldog. She then dragged Becky to her feet, throwing her shoulder first into the ring post! As Becky stumbled out of the corner, clutching her shoulder, Trish hit her with a second Chick Kick! She hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1… 2… Becky kicked out just before the 3! Trish let out a frustrated scream, stomped on Becky’s shoulder several times, then pulled her to her feet and hit the Stratusfaction! She hooked the leg once more – 1… 2… 3!
Christy Hemme: Your winner… and QUEEN of the Ring… TRISH STRATUS!
As the referee called for the bell, the crowd got to their feet, applauding the efforts of both women.
Mauro Ranallo: That was incredible, Nigel. After an epic back and forth contest, Trish Stratus emerges victorious… but Becky Lynch took her to her limit, in a way no woman has before.
Nigel McGuinness: That was incredible, Mauro… a match worth waiting for. And now Mina Shirakawa lays in wait for Queen Trish!
After celebrating, Trish walked over to Becky, extending her hand to help her up… but Becky slapped Trish’s hand away, getting up of her own accord. Becky clenched her fists, as if debating whether or not to attack Trish… but ultimately, she walked away, making her way up the ramp as the crowd cheered and applauded her. Once Becky had left through the curtain, Trish bowed, then exited the ring herself and walked up the ramp towards her throne. As she reached the top of the ramp, Natalya came through the curtain, hugging Trish and congratulating her. The referee handed Trish her crown, and Trish held it up above her head as fireworks went off.
Mauro Ranallo: It all comes down to this, Nigel. Two legends, two future Hall of Famers, battling to be crowned King of the Ring… Chris Jericho versus Edge.
Nigel McGuinness: Both men have been through hell tonight, but there’s only one throne. Listen to this crowd – they love both of these superstars.
“Judas” by Fozzy hit and the crowd erupted in cheers, singing along as Chris Jericho walked onto the stage, looking exhausted but determined. He took a moment to soak in the atmosphere before walking down the ramp, focused on the ring.
Mauro Ranallo: Chris Jericho has accomplished so much in his career, and he’s still hungry for more. Tonight, he could become only the fifth superstar to win the King of the Ring tournament for a second time. That would be another jewel in his already decorated crown.
When Jericho was in the ring, “Metalingus” by Alter Bridge hit, and the cheers grew even louder as a fired-up Edge emerged, adrenaline coursing through him. He slapped the hands of fans along the ramp, then stood on the stage, soaking in the ovation before heading to the ring.
Nigel McGuinness: Edge has battled through a grueling match with CM Punk tonight to get here. You know how badly he wants this.
As Edge entered the ring, he walked over to Jericho and extended his hand. Jericho looked at him for a moment before nodding and shaking it, the two veterans exchanging a show of respect. The crowd applauded loudly.
Mauro Ranallo: A sign of respect between two of the greatest to ever do it… but now, it’s time to fight.
The referee called for the bell and the two men exploded into a flurry of punches, quickly turning the match into a wild brawl. Jericho fired rapid chops to Edge’s chest, backing him into the ropes, but Edge stunned him with a knee to the gut and whipped him into the corner. Edge charged, but Jericho caught him with an elbow to the face, then climbed the turnbuckle and hit a diving back elbow, taking Edge down.
Nigel McGuinness: This is fast and furious already!
Jericho hooked the leg – 1… 2… Edge kicked out. Jericho pulled Edge up, but Edge countered with a headbutt, then hit a spinning neckbreaker. Edge covered – 1… 2… Jericho kicked out!
Mauro Ranallo: Both men looking for quick victories here, trying to end it before fatigue truly sets in.
Edge pulled Jericho to his feet and hit a series of punches, then set him up for the Edgecution DDT… but Jericho blocked it, shoved Edge away, and hit a dropkick. As both men got to their feet, Jericho took Edge down with a bulldog, before hitting the Lionsault! He hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1… 2… Edge kicked out. Jericho grabbed Edge’s legs and went for the Walls of Jericho, but Edge kicked him away, sending Jericho stumbling backwards. Edge kipped up and hit a clothesline, then followed up with a flapjack. Edge covered – 1… 2… Jericho kicked out again!
Nigel McGuinness: Near fall after near fall… something’s got to give.
Edge got to his feet first, pulling Jericho up and whipping him against the ropes. As Jericho ran back towards him, Edge hit a big boot, and as Jericho hit the mat he rolled to the outside, trying to give himself a moment to recover. Edge followed Jericho to the outside, hitting Jericho with a series of punches before whipping him into the ring steps. Edge threw Jericho back into the ring, then hit a sitout powerbomb, hooking both legs!
Mauro Ranallo: MAMMA MIA! That shook the ring!
The referee counted – 1… 2… Jericho kicked out at the last second! Edge pounded the mat in frustration, then backed into the corner, signaling for the Spear. The crowd roared in anticipation. Edge charged… but Jericho sidestepped it, grabbing Edge and rolling him up into a schoolboy pin! The referee counted – 1… 2… Edge kicked out! Both men scrambled to their feet and Jericho hit a Codebreaker out of nowhere! He made the cover and the referee counted – 1… 2… Edge got his foot on the bottom rope!
Nigel McGuinness: Incredible ring awareness by Edge!
Jericho shook his head in disbelief, then grabbed Edge’s legs and dragged him towards the center of the ring before locking in the Walls of Jericho! Edge cried out in pain, reaching out desperately for the ropes as the crowd willed him on. Jericho sat back deeper, but Edge clawed his way forward inch by inch, finally grabbing the bottom rope. The referee forced the break.
Mauro Ranallo: Edge survives, but how much does he have left?
Jericho waited for Edge to get to his feet, then went for the Judas Effect… but Edge ducked underneath it, grabbing Jericho from behind and hitting the Edge-o-matic! Jericho looked dazed as he got to his feet, and Edge took full advantage, grabbing him and hitting the Edgecution DDT! Both men lay on the mat, exhausted. Edge draped an arm over Jericho – 1… 2… Jericho kicked out at the last moment!
Nigel McGuinness: This is incredible. Main event caliber, no doubt about it.
Edge crawled into the corner, pounding the mat as the crowd chanted “This is awesome!” He charged for the Spear… but Jericho countered with another Codebreaker! He hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1… 2… Edge kicked out just before the 3! Jericho held his head in his hands, looking stunned.
Mauro Ranallo: After everything that Edge has been through tonight, how the hell did he kick out of that?!
As Jericho got to his feet, he stomped on Edge several times, then grabbed him by the legs, going for the Walls of Jericho once again… but Edge blocked it and rolled Jericho up in a small package! The referee counted – 1… 2… Jericho kicked out! As both men got to their feet, they exchanged right hands. Jericho gained the upper hand, and he went to whip Edge against the ropes… but Edge reversed the Irish whip, sending Jericho against the ropes before hitting a Spear! The move seemed to take a lot out of Edge, and after several seconds, he crawled over to Jericho, hooking the leg. The referee counted – 1… 2… Jericho kicked out at 2.99!
Nigel McGuinness: The crowd are on their feet! They can’t believe this Mauro!
Edge let out a cry of frustration, then grabbed Jericho and pulled him to his feet, whipping him into the corner. Edge sat Jericho on the top rope, setting him up for a superplex… but Jericho fought back with a series of punches, then hit Edge with a headbutt, causing him to fall off the ropes. As Edge stumbled backwards, Jericho steadied himself on the top rope, then leapt off, twisting his body mid-air and driving his elbow down onto Edge’s jaw with a devastating Judas Effect from above!
Mauro Ranallo: A Judas Effect from the top rope! I’m not sure we’ve ever seen Jericho do that before! That has to be it!
Edge collapsed to the mat and Jericho hooked both legs as the referee counted – 1… 2… 3!
The bell rang and “Judas” blasted through the arena as the crowd erupted in cheers.
Christy Hemme: Here is your winner… and the 2025 King of the Ring… CHRIS JERICHO!
Nigel McGuinness: What a match. What a night. Chris Jericho is your King of the Ring, and he earned every bit of it.
Jericho lay on the mat, exhausted and emotional, before sitting up with a tired grin. Edge slowly got to his feet, clutching his jaw, and looked at Jericho. He nodded, walked over, and pulled Jericho into a hug as the crowd cheered loudly in respect.
Mauro Ranallo: What a moment of sportsmanship. Two legends, giving it everything they had.
Edge raised Jericho’s hand, then exited the ring, giving him the spotlight. A throne was brought from the stage to ringside as Jericho was handed his crown and scepter. Jericho looked around at the cheering crowd, his face beaming with pride. But suddenly, the crowd’s cheers turned to loud boos as a man in a black hoodie hopped over the barricade, sliding into the ring behind Jericho. The man attacked Jericho from behind, clubbing him in the back of the head. Jericho dropped his crown and scepter as the man ripped off his hood, revealing himself to be The Miz!
Nigel McGuinness: It’s The Miz! But… why? Why tonight?!
Mauro Ranallo: This is supposed to be Jericho’s moment!
Miz picked up Jericho’s crown and stared at it before stomping it into pieces, shattering it across the mat. The crowd booed furiously as Miz picked up the scepter and smashed it across Jericho’s back, causing him to scream in pain. Miz hit him again and again, until blood trickled down Jericho’s forehead.
Nigel McGuinness: This is disgusting. Miz is ruining Jericho’s moment!
Edge sprinted back down the ramp to help, sliding into the ring, but Miz turned and tackled him, raining down punches before hitting a Skull Crushing Finale, leaving Edge motionless.
Mauro Ranallo: Somebody stop this man!
Miz threw Edge out of the ring, then exited the ring himself, kicking over Jericho’s throne. Miz picked up a steel chair from ringside, then re-entered the ring, glaring at Jericho. Miz hit Jericho with the chair repeatedly as the crowd booed louder and louder, some in shock, others screaming insults at Miz. Miz then set up the chair, grabbed Jericho, and hit a Skull Crushing Finale onto the steel chair, leaving Jericho bloodied and broken.
Nigel McGuinness: This is vile. This is heinous. Miz has just destroyed Chris Jericho.
As “I Came To Play” blasted through the arena, Miz stood tall over Jericho’s broken body, smirking coldly. The camera zoomed in on Jericho’s bloodied face as the crowd continued to boo, then cut to Miz standing on the second rope, arms raised triumphantly.
Mauro Ranallo: Chris Jericho’s coronation has been ruined by The Miz… what does this mean for the King of the Ring, and for EBWF?
The final shot was of Miz standing over Jericho with a sadistic grin as Total Supremacy went off the air.
