I am no generic wrestler.

OOC: Best of luck to Raza, it is an honor to face him. I am sorry my showing is lacking colors and a little more content, this shifts are going to end my sanity.

One could think that defeating Adam Rose and Ted DiBiase was a step in the right direction. For Young Trenton, However; defeating Adam Rose and Ted DiBiase meant that there seemed to be hope at the end of the tunnel, his career could probably get out of the hole it had been for the past year or so.

The intercontinental Championship -Like Trent, had also seen much better days. Once considered to be a prestigious title and its bearer was singled out as "the guy to watch out for in the near future", but in the recent history of the EBWF records, no man who has held the Intercontinental Championship has been able to live up to the title's expectations. Let's be frank and honest for a minute, if you are the World Champion, you will have the main event spot guaranteed, fans will love you or despise you instantly, they will look up every interview, every picture online on TMZ, write whatever sort of whack fan fiction about you, but not the Intercontinental Champion.

When you are the intercontinental Champion there are no talk shows, no interviews, no TMZ, no Dave Meltzer on your ass. Hell, you might consider yourself lucky if you make it into Botchamania (Would you?).

The intercontinental champion has to work in the ring, has to do the talking in the ring. When Trent noticed this, plus the current balance of the EBWF roster, the Intercontinental title looked quite like the war trophy.

Before Trent and the Intercontinental Title, stood a man who knew his ways around the ropes quite well, Sami Zayn. Sami took EBWF by Storm and quickly got himself involved in a series of matches that would grant him the Intercontinental title, a title that Zayn has held for three months, after defeating Syxx.

Sami's work in the ropes and on the microphone definitely had a positive effect on the EBWF universe's interest in the Intercontinental Title scene. There was only one thing preventing Sami Zayn's name to be written in golden print next to the Ultimate Warrior, The Dragon Steamboat and so many other historical Intercontinental Champions. And that thing was a worthy opponent.

In a world where John Cena was the shot caller, where he got to release a shirt in every single week with a stupid rehashed phrase and a different color, only for it to fly off the shelves instantly; in a world where guys with solid ring skills like him and Zayn were relegated to favour wrestlers who put up panache, who can not only fill up entire arenas, but put seats in boring ass reality shows, and talk shows... Sadly, that was the road Wes Ikeda's EBWF had taken during the past couple of years. Luckily for him, there were still fans and workers who cared about the product, even when the spotlight was set somewhere else.

Trent was willing to prove, that unlike every other wrestler before him, he trully wanted to change EBWF, to shed light amongst the darkness and frivolity that has ben cast upon the once mythical wrestling promotion.

The time for games was over, the fans desperately clamored for a change, and even if they couldn't realize it, Trent, Chris Jericho and Lance Storm where the change.

A bell chimed cryptically in the background, dangling slowly from side to side, the sound of metal clinking against metal seemed to fill the void building and shake it to it's core with each movement. Renee Young seemed to flinch with every single chime the bell above her gave... Looking around what looked like an empty monastery. A familiar voice came from behind her, which seemed to make her flinch even more.

Trent: Scared Renee? The bell tolling just means the time has come.

Renee looked uneasy as she made eye contact with Trent, who was wearing black pants and a gray sleeveless shirt with the letters SWA, 5 day stubble growing on his face, his black locks of hair still wet, dragged backwards. He ran a hand along his sideburns and looked at the young announcer.

Trent: The time for Trent, has come. And just like you jumped up like a little girl watching a horror movie, the whole EBWF universe lays in wait watching a suspense movie to which they already know the end... And no matter how much they jeer and boo, no matter how much they cry, no matter what they do, the ending of this movie will be happy... For me.

Trent paced slowly towards Renee, smiling calmly. The door behind her was slammed from the outside, as if someone was hitting it with open palms. Each second that passed, more and more palms could be heard, like a huge storm brewing outside, Renee looked over her shoulder, clearly freaked out, Trent never lost his calm.

Trent: what is that? Well, let me tell you that they also know the time has arrived. Who are they? Don't worry Renee, you'll meet them soon enough.

Renee's heart felt as if it could come out of her throat any minute now, big brown eyes, uneasy facial expression said it all.

Trent: Come on Renee! A little professionalism won't hurt from time to time would it? You don't want to stay as EBWF eyecandy for ever, do you?

Trent leaned in to take in the scent that emanated from her beautiful blonde hair.

Trent: You said you wanted and interview, I gladly accepted... You've been standing here for minutes now and you haven't made a single question, eyecandy.

Trent made sure that last word was pronounced soundly, as id to emphasize what she really was for the EBWF universe. Renee attempted to pull herself together and nodded slightly, she drove a microphone closer towards her lips.

Renee Young: Ladies and ge-gentlemen my guest at this time, Trent. Trent, Jericho and Lance Storm's actions last week on Warfare where they both orchestrated an attack on Sami Zayn, your upcoming opponent for the EBWf Intercontinental title... Now, how do you feel about your mentors' recent actions?

Trent tilted his head to the side.

Trent: Renee, I would be lying if I told you I don't regret it. I am deeply sorry... Deeply sorry that I wasn't able to be there when Jericho and Storm nearly tore Sami Zayn into two. Deeply sorry that I couldn't get on the top rope and hit a mushroom stomp on his ginger skull... Maybe if I had done that, the whole EBWF universe -Sami included- wouldn't be wondering about the nature of my actions.

Trent ran a hand along his black hair, dragging it back and forth.

Trent: Sami Zayn, welcome to EBWF... You might feel like you're at home, but trust me, you haven't had a taste of what's really like being in this jungle until your first reality check. Let me tell you a story, Sami. I promise you'd be looking over your shoulder every time you turn down a hallway after I am done. Once upon a time there was a young wrestler who had it all... He had a gorgeous girlfriend, he had his two best friends backing him up, standing up for him when he needed help... Everything seemed to be swell and dandy for him, everyone seemed convinced he was touted to be the future ruler of this place... He remained undefeated for over a year! But where there's grace and talent, there will always be envy... One of the young man's friends turned on him, vowing to make his life miserable and impossible... The young man was able to fend him off, but soon others came, seeking the young man's head. Carrion eating vultures seemed to attack him from above nonstop... Preventing him to capitalize on winning the King of the Ring tournament and the world title... It took little time for his other friend to turn on him, for his girlfriend to leave him at the mercy of these hungry pack of wolves that sought to succeed him in his throne... He valiantly fought until his body and mind got completely broken... Putting his body on the line in a brutal match, he was finally able to make his dream come true. He defeated the greatest, most recognizable world champion in EBWF's recent history. But he made one mistake... He thought war was over... And he fell from grace for that mistake.

Trent's eyes were now fixed on the camera.

Trent: I am bringing this up because simply put, I wasted too much time tying the ends together... I often blamed those who backstabbed me, Ryder, Hawkins, Bully Ray, Cody Rhodes... But the only man to pin my defeats was myself.

Trent beat himself up in the chest with an audible open palm.

Trent: It was my greatness which made them gravitate towards me, it was my foolishness which allowed them to get the best of me. Now, a year or so later The whole wide world can rest assured that those mistakes I made in the past will NEVER be made again.

Renee Young: Excuse me, but what does your career failures have to do with your upcoming match agains Zayn?

Trent: EVERYTHING. You see, I have had an eye on Sami the moment he walked...

The door that led to the outside of the monastery was slammed again, this time harder and even more repeatedly than before, Renee once again jumped up, eyes squinting at the big, wooden door, which seemed to budge slightly with each thud.

Trent: as I was saying... Sami debuted here not too long ago, and quickly stablished himself as an up and coming prospect. He got to a great start, picking win after win, eventually capturing the Intercontinental Title and successfully defending it for the past 3 months. Sounds familiar? It sure does sound familiar to me... Of course, Sami Zayn has been riding high waves ever since he kicked down the door and chose EBWF as his new playground. But let's set the record straight... Up to this date, Has Sami Zayn faced serious competition here, in EBWF? I am not that crybaby Miz, I am not that promiscuous drug addict AJ Styles , and I am definitely not that charisma sucking black hole Ted DiBiase, I am not that washed up Syx... I am not that glorified peroxide ass crash dummy Dolph Ziggler, Sami... I am BY FAR the biggest competition you've ever faced in your career, and the biggest name you'll go up against in a while. You are in the big leagues now, and I thank you for bringing the Intercontinental title, for making it relevant again... But It is I, who will take over for now.

The thuds on the door seemed to soften. Renee gulped and tried to blurt out a question.

Renee Young: I still don't get what you're drawing a parallel between your career and Sami for.

Trent: Because Sami Zayn has taken the exact same path I took when I arrived here, and he has made the same mistakes I made in the past. Do you think I sent Lance and Jericho to attack Sami. DO YOU EVEN KNOW HOW STUPID THAT SOUNDS? A kid from Mount Sinai, bossing around two of the biggest names in wrestling history ever to grace the EBWF universe with their in-ring presence... DO YOU KNOW HOW STUPID THAT SOUNDS? Sami Zayn is just pointing at the obvious, in a feeble attempt to make it true... Well, I summoned you here Renee because I am going to point the truth out. Sami Zayn brought this on himself.

Renee Young: what?

Trent: Simple, Sami put the blood in the water. When I told lance and Jericho that Sami Zayn was an interesting individual who was tumbling down the road to failure, they seemed interested in my story. "How can we confirm what you are saying?" They asked. I just told them to wait for the right moment and test the theory out for themselves. And guess what? Sami did not disappoint.

A couple of wails, followed by more knocks on the door were heard.

Trent: he stood there like a sitting duck, hoping for life to be fair, hoping for everyone to play by the rules... What a fool! That was when he reminded me of myself back in the day... That was when I resolved to teach Sami Zayn a lesson, to confirm that I have learned it myself. Sami, consider yourself lucky that I was focused on my match last week and I didn't come out here to finish you up there and then... Consider yourself lucky that I allowed you to think whatever conspiracy theories you might have come up with for the past couple of days... Its nothing personal Sami, actually this is just between me and myself. This is me, burning bridges from the past and destroying the old, weak Trent by putting him in your flesh. Who knows, maybe you will learn your lesson after our encounter, maybe you will make a fine champion one of these days... Just, not right now. You will eventually thank me... For you don't see it now, but you'll be stronger than ever after I had exposed you for what you are...

The doors swung open and a wall of laments, cries and wails filled the empty monastery... Small Hooded figures walked in slowly, as if by inertia holding torches above their hoods. Cries and sobs coming from the entrance made Renee shriek in desperation. The figures continued their slow, painful parade towards Trent and Renee.

Renee Young: WHAT IS GOING ON?!?!?!?!!!!!

Trent: I told you the moment you walked in, the time has arrived.

Trent spread his arms out, Renee looked around, both of them completely surrounded by figures who wailed and sobbed.

Trent: Cat got your tongue, Renee? I'll take over from here... Now that I have made it clear to you and the EBWF universe that my interest in Sami Zayn and the recent actions of my mentors were nothing but pedagogical... I can now address the important aspect of this match. It is undeniable that Sami Zayn has put the Intercontinental Championship where no recent champion has put it... He has certainly done a better job than Syxx, The Miz, Ted DiBiase and Dolph Ziggler could ever do... You gotta give him credit, I am confident Sami Zayn could have a match against a pole and still look great! On the other hand, it is also undeniable that I every title I have held has been worthy defended, through all sorts of crazy, career shortening matches... Now, I can promise you all that once Sami and I crash at Fallout, it will be one for the ages! He has quite an arsenal of moves, but the differences between him and I are abysmal when it comes to in-ring maturity... Zayn's ego hasn't been dragged along the mud back and forth, he hasn't been given a reality check yet... Sami's concept of the world he has stepped into is completely based on the stupid idea that everyone is honorable and decent. Sure, Sami Zayn would do anything within his reach to retain his title... i on the other han would do ANYTHING to win it... Even if it means ending his career, or having him destroyed before he can get into the ring. Survival of the fittest, Zayn... You gotta be deadly, you gotta be ruthless, either that or you need to shell out a funky t-shirt every week to keep yourself relevant.

The group of hoods that surrounded them slowly made way for half a dozen of them, who wailed even louder, and carried what looked like a casket, Renee's eyes widened at the sight of the wooden coffin... Setting it down before Trent's feet and opening... For Renee's peace of mind, the velvet covered insides of the box were completely empty. But not for long... Trent reached out and grabbed a hold of the blonde interviewer, securing her by the waist, pinning her against his side. Renee kicked in desperation as Trent chuckled, pushing her away after a few moments.

Trent: Yeah right, like I want Callaway to sue me.

The hooded figures slowly disrobed themselves one by one, revealing their true nature. Eyes bulging with tears, sobs escaping their puerile mouths... Trent and Renee had been surrounded by a bunch of kids the whole time. One of the kids approached the coffin, holding a familiar red and black wrestling mask and a cape... The mourning became more intense as he deposited the items inside the box... All it took was a couple of torches from the children against the velvet insides of the casket to set it on fire. It was as if the kids got burnt instead of the props, their mourning became louder than ever... They sobbed and mourned, preaching in unison

Children: You sworn to protect us... You sworn to never leave us... You sworn to fight for us.

Trent: He is gone! Gone for good children! He forgot about you, just like he forgot who he was, just like he will ignore those who have already targeted him. He's weak and naive! You do not deserve a savior like him!

Children: he left us, he forgot about us, he is weak and naive, we deserve a better savior than him.

Trent: Someone stronger, someone who is able to fend off threats, someone who doesn't act as a shepherd dog, but someone who teaches the herd to defend themselves!

Flames bursted in the middle of the circle as the children continued to chant along with Trent, as Renee looked on.

Trent: Sami, I know everything about you... I have gotten under your skin, inside your brain, I have taken what made you strong and unique and I had torn it apart... I will become the intercontinental champion, I will defeat you, but most important, I will teach you the most important lesson there is to learn if you plan on sticking around EBWF for a while. Don' take for granted that everyone else plays by the rules... And pray to whatever God is it that you believe in that I don't find you before our match, because I will seize the opportunity and end you... The time for the Intercontinental championship to return to its former glory starts tonight, it is too bad you're going to be landing face first on the canvas seconds before realizing it.

The kids held hands around the casket until the fire died out as the scene slowly faded to black.
