MATCH ONE

Joey Styles: Good evening and welcome to EBWF Aftermath! We are live from the sold out Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis!

Corey Graves: What a night this promises to be, Joey!

The camera panned around the ringside area, where tables, ladders and chairs had been laid out, and then zoomed in on the Tag Team Titles, which were hanging above the ring.

Joey Styles: Kicking things off tonight, Jimmy Havoc and Braun Strowman defend the Tag Team Titles against GTA and Highflying Havoc!

"Basket Case" by Green Day hit and the crowd gave a mixed reaction as Matt Sydal and Mark Andrews headed to the ring. When Sydal and Andrews were in the ring, "Banana Clipper" by Run the Jewelz hit and the crowd cheered as Enzo and Trent stepped out onto the stage.

Corey Graves: I guess we know who the fan favorites are tonight, Joey! Although I'll never understand why people cheer Enzo Amore... don't they realize how annoying he is?

Once Enzo and Trent were in the ring, "I Hope You Suffer" by AFI hit and the crowd booed as the EBWF Tag Team Champions made their way to the ring. Havoc was wearing a t-shirt that said "The Bastard" in a red, blood-like font. Braun was wearing a shirt that said "The Beast" which had a black and white image of his face on the front.

Joey Styles: I guess Havoc and Strowman are living up to their new moniker, The Bastard and the Beast!

As Strowman and Havoc entered the ring, Havoc smirked, while Braun glared at the other four superstars in the ring. The referee called for the bell, and Sydal and Andrews looked across at Enzo and Trent. The four men seemed to reach an understanding, then they all charged towards Braun Strowman!

Corey Graves: I guess Highflying Havoc and GTA have realised the only way they're going to win this match is if they slay the beast!

Havoc grabbed Enzo Amore and threw him out of the ring, then pummelled Trent with a series of punches. Sydal and Andrews tried to set Strowman up for a double suplex, but Braun countered it, lifting both men up and suplexing them simultaneously. Enzo Amore climbed to the top rope and went for a crossbody, but Strowman caught him in mid-air, then hit a fallaway slam. Across the ring, Havoc lifted Trent over his shoulders, hitting a Death Valley Driver. Havoc then exited the ring and grabbed a ladder from ringside, bringing it into the ring and setting it up underneath the Tag Titles. Havoc began to climb the ladder, with Strowman standing guard. Matt Sydal grabbed a steel chair and ran towards Strowman with it, but Braun reacted quickly, hitting a big boot and kicking the chair into Sydal's face! The distraction gave Mark Andrews enough time to pull Jimmy Havoc off the ladder though, and Andrews hit a legsweep DDT, then grabbed the ladder, swinging it towards Braun Strowman. Strowman grabbed the ladder from the other side, and was about to snatch it off Andrews, but before he could do so, Enzo and Trent stood either side of Andrews, grabbing the ladder also. The three men worked together to pull the ladder away from Strowman, then charged towards him, using the ladder to take the big man down!

Joey Styles: It's taken three men to do it, but Braun Strowman is down!

Enzo, Trent and Andrews dropped the ladder on Strowman, then Enzo and Trent turned on the Welsh high-flier, grabbing him and hitting a flapjack, slamming Andrews onto the ladder. Matt Sydal got to his feet and ran at Enzo and Trent, but the Certified Gs hit Sydal with a double dropkick. Enzo rolled out of the ring and grabbed another ladder, while Trent sat on the ladder that was already in the ring, trying to keep Braun Strowman trapped underneath it!

Corey Graves: Well that's one way to try and keep Braun Strowman down, Joey!

As Braun struggled to break free, Enzo set the second ladder up in the center of the ring and began to climb it. As Enzo neared the top of the ladder, Braun was able to push Trent off the ladder he was trapped underneath. Trent collided with the ladder Enzo was climbing, causing the New Jersey Smacktalker to lose his balance. Enzo was able to hold onto the ladder, but as he tried to climb back up it, Jimmy Havoc got to his feet and pushed the ladder over! Enzo landed on the ropes, then fell to the outside. Havoc then grabbed Trent, hitting him with the Acid Rainmaker! Matt Sydal got to his feet and Braun grabbed him, powerbombing him over the top rope to the outside. Across the ring, Mark Andrews was beginning to stir, and a sly grin appeared on Havoc's face as an idea formed in his mind. Havoc grabbed a table from ringside and set it up in the ring. He grabbed Andrews and threw him towards Strowman, who lifted Andrews onto his shoulder and hit a running powerslam through the table!

Joey Styles: You can't keep Strowman down for long, Corey! The Bastard and the Beast have taken everybody out!

Havoc slapped Strowman on the shoulder, congratulating him on a job well done. The reigning Gateway Champion then grabbed the ladder he had pushed Enzo off earlier and set it back up in the center of the ring. Strowman stood guard again as Havoc began to climb the ladder. Outside the ring, Enzo grabbed a steel chair and crept back into the ring. Strowman didn't hear him, and Havoc didn't notice as Enzo snuck up behind "The Beast" with the chair. Enzo was about to hit Braun across the back with the chair, then got a better idea. He crouched down behind Strowman, driving the chair between Braun's legs and slamming it into his groin!

Joey Styles: Oh my god! Enzo just used the chair to low blow Braun Strowman!

Corey Graves: Credit where credit is due, Joey... it takes balls of steel to pull off a move like that!

As Strowman fell to the mat, Havoc saw what had happened and began yelling at Enzo. Enzo went to climb up the ladder, and as he did so, Trent grabbed Jimmy Havoc, pulling him off the ladder. Trent then hit Havoc with the Crunchy Driver and climbed up the ladder with Enzo. The crowd cheered in anticipation as Enzo and Trent neared the top of the ladder.

Corey Graves: We're about to see new Tag Champions, Joey! GTA have pulled it off against the odds!

Joey Styles: Not so fast, Corey! Look!

Braun Strowman was back on his feet, and he grabbed the ladder. Strowman pulled on the ladder with all of his strength, breaking the ladder in half! Trent and Enzo jumped from the two broken halves of the ladder and went after Strowman, but the Monster Among Men grabbed them both by the throat, hitting a double chokeslam. Strowman grabbed the other ladder that was in the ring, setting it up underneath the Tag Titles, then helped Jimmy Havoc to his feet. Havoc was still groggy from the Crunchy Driver he had taken earlier, but Strowman lifted him up onto the ladder, and Havoc began to climb. Havoc got to the top of the ladder and unhooked both titles!

Corey Graves: It's over! What a match!

The referee called for the bell as Havoc climbed down from the ladder and handed one of the titles to Braun. The Tag Champions celebrated their victory as the show cut to a video package previewing the next match.

MATCH TWO

Joey Styles: Up next, we've got more tag team action as Kevin Owens teams with Cesaro to take on Bobby Roode and Sami Zayn.

Corey Graves: Two interesting pairings for this match, Joey. There's a lot of tension between Owens and Zayn, but I don't think KO wants to team with Cesaro given their history and I'm sure Sami Zayn doesn't want to work with Bobby Roode...

"Fight" by CFO$ hit and Kevin Owens came out to a mixed reaction from the crowd. When Owens was in the ring, "We Are The Champions" by Queen hit, and the crowd cheered as Cesaro headed to the ring. Bobby Roode came out next to a chorus of boos, then finally Zayn got a huge pop as he stepped onto the stage. When all four men were in the ring, the referee called for the bell. Owens went straight after Zayn, taking him down with a clothesline and stomping on him repeatedly, while Cesaro and Roode exchanged right hands back and forth. The referee got between all four superstars, trying to restore some order. Owens insisted he was starting the match, so Cesaro moved onto the ring apron. Roode did the same and Owens pulled Zayn to his feet, whipping him against the ropes and going for a Pop Up Powerbomb. Zayn countered with a hurricanrana, rolling Owens up. The referee counted – 1... 2... kickout! Both men got to their feet, and Zayn hit the Pele Kick, then set Owens up for an exploder suplex. Owens blocked it, countering with a suplex of his own, then yelled at Zayn, "I'll deal with you later!" Owens tagged in Cesaro, who entered the ring and hit Zayn with a gut wrench powerbomb. Cesaro hooked the leg and the referee counted – 1... 2... kickout! Cesaro pulled Zayn to his feet, but Zayn fought back with a series of punches, then ran against the ropes. As Zayn hit the ropes, Bobby Roode tagged himself in. Zayn looked confused, but Roode entered the ring and told Zayn, "I got this". As Zayn exited the ring, Roode and Cesaro exchanged right hands back and forth. Roode gained the upper hand, and went for a clothesline, but Cesaro ducked out of the way then hit Roode with an uppercut. Roode was temporarily dazed and Cesaro hit a double leg takedown, then set him up for the Giant Swing! The crowd cheered in anticipation, but Roode rolled the Swiss Superman up with a small package! The referee counted – 1... 2... Kevin Owens broke up the count!

Joey Styles: Roode almost stole one!

Owens went to exit the ring, but before he could to so, Zayn entered the ring, charging towards KO and taking him down with a flying forearm smash. As Zayn punched Owens repeatedly on the mat, the referee tried to intervene. Zayn continued to attack Owens, and Bobby Roode grabbed him. He yelled at Zayn, telling the former World Champion he was going to get them disqualified. As Zayn and Roode argued, Kevin Owens attacked Zayn from behind, inadvertedly shoving him into Bobby Roode. Roode staggered backwards, and Owens grabbed Zayn, lifting him up and hitting the Go Home Driver. As Owens stood over Zayn, Cesaro told him to get out of the ring. Owens responded by telling Cesaro, "you don't tell me what to do!" Owens then shoved Cesaro in the chest, and Cesaro shoved him back. Owens responded by hitting Cesaro with a right hand, then Roode grabbed Cesaro, hitting him with the Glorious DDT! Roode was about to go for the pin, but before he could do so, Owens attacked him. As Owens and Roode brawled back and forth, Sami Zayn went to the top rope, jumping from the turnbuckle and hitting both men with a double crossbody!

Joey Styles: The referee just called for the bell... I think this match has been declared a no contest!

Corey Graves: Can you blame him, Joey? This was more like a fatal four way than a tag match!

Having taken down Roode and Owens, Sami Zayn helped Cesaro to his feet. Zayn then turned his attention back to Kevin Owens and threw him into the corner, then hit him with a Helluva Kick! Cesaro grabbed Roode and hit him with the Neutralizer, then Cesaro and Zayn exited the ring, making their way up the ramp as Owens and Roode recovered in the ring.

MATCH THREE

Samoa Joe came to the ring first.

Joey Styles: The winner of the 2017 Royal Rumble has the opportunity to become #1 contender again tonight, maybe getting to bypass the King of the Ring tournament completely.

“Say it to My Face” hit and Alex Riley came out accompanied by the Prime Time Players and The Miz. Joey was shaking his head, and then started to mouth off to the referee about the posse that Riley had brought with him.

Corey Graves: Not if Riley has anything to say about it!

The bell rang and the match started off with a few slow holds before escalating to a fury of punches. Riley hit Joe with a flying clothesline, and Joe responded with an ankle lock that left Riley struggling. Joey followed up with a Senton. A-Ry tried to fight back with knife-edged chops but Joe planted him in the corner and hit him with an enzuigiri. Joe followed up with a series of jabs before Riley tried to fight back again.

Corey Graves: Riley trying to survive here!

A-Ry connected with a kick to the chest and brought Joe down with a neck breaker. Riley headed to the rope and dived toward Joe who caught him in mid-air to hit him with a kneecapper. Joe followed up by locking on a knee bar, and Riley escaped by scrambling for the ropes.

Joey Styles: Great ring awareness for Riley there but…

Joe followed up with a powerbomb.

Corey Graves: It was all for naught! Riley is in a world of pain.

Joe transitioned the powerbomb into a Texas cloverleaf. Riley somehow reached the ropes again, and standing up he dodged a Senton from Joe before connecting with a superkick! Riley went for the top rope, and Joe met him there.

Joey Styles: That is the last place in the world Alex Riley wants to be.

A-Ry went for a sunset flip powerbomb, and tried to cover Joe who kicked out at two. Joe took control, turning Riley inside out with a clothesline before looking to lock in the Coquina clutch.

Riley somehow rolled Joe over as he was putting on the hold, causing Joe to put both shoulders on the mat. The referee began to count the pinfall, and Riley grabbed the ropes as the referee counted to three!

Corey Graves: Joe is stunned! Joe is stunned! Alex Riley squeaked one out and is the new number one contender for the EBWF World Championship.

MATCH FOUR

Out of My Mind by CFO$ hit ushering in the arrival of Eva Marie.

Christy Hemme: This match is scheduled for one fall and it is for the EBWF Women’s Championship! Introducing first, the challenger, from Concord California. She is Eva Marie!

Eva was booed, but paid no mind as she got into the ring and Missle by Dorothy filled the arena.

Christy Hemme: Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome, from Calgary, Alberta Canada. She is the EBWF Women’s Champion, Natalya!

The crowd gave a mixed reaction to the self-proclaimed wresting royalty and she showboated by throwing one arm out to the side with holding the title with the other. When she got into the ring she held the title up above her head before giving it to the referee.

Joey Styles: Eva Marie became the number one contender just a few weeks ago and as tournament season kicks off I am excited to see who the women’s champion might be.

Corey Graves: Who are you kidding, Joey? The whole world is watching and they know that Natalya is leaving here champion. She is a submission specialist!

Joey Styles: I don’t know, Corey. Eva Marie doesn’t get the credit she deserves.

The bell rang and the two women circled the ring before locking up. Natalya took Eva down and rolled around before applying a front face lock. Eva tried to fight to her feet, but Natalya took her down with a takeover and applied an arm bar.

Corey Graves: I’m sure you see my point, Joey.

Joey Styles: Yeah, yeah.

Eva got out with a head-scissor, but Natalya kipped up and out of the maneuver. Eva elbowed Nattie in the face and rolled out of the ring. Natalya rolled out after her, but as she stood upright, Eva hit her with a chop block, and then gave her a double arm suplex onto the floor. The crowd went wild as Eva flipped her hair before getting back in the ring. Natalya managed to climb back in at the ref’s count of seven. Eva dropkicked Natalya in the head and covered her for the two count!

Joey Styles: Natalya just barely kicked out there!

Eva got Natalya in the full nelson, but in a show of strength, Natalya fought up to her feet. Eva bounced Nattie off of the turnbuckle, and went for an Irish whip but Natalya reversed it and took Eva down for the Sharpshooter. The crowd popped for the submission and Eva tried to fight to the bottom rope. The referee monitored her closely as she made her way to safety, only to be dragged back to the center of the ring by Natalya. With nowhere to go, Eva tapped to the submission hold.

Corey Graves: And just like that! Just like that, Natalya is still the EBWF Women’s Champion.

Natalya was presented with her title, and posed with it in the ring as a video rehashing the lead up to Randy Orton versus PJ Black played.

MATCH FIVE

Joey Styles: It's time for our Main Event for the EBWF World Championship!

"Counting Bodies Like Sheep" boomed over the arena PA system as Randy Orton walked slowly down the ramp, serious expression on his face as the crowd reacted in cheers for the Silent Assassin.

Corey Graves: Randy Orton looking to capture his first World Championship reign since 2013! The way he's looking today, I don't doubt that he can do it.

Joey Styles: You just don't know which Randy Orton you're going to get when you step in the ring with him.

Corey Graves: That may be true, but all of them are scary.

Randy had made his way to the ring and awaited for his opponent to come out. "Sick of It" by Skillet hit the speakers and PJ Black came out to the ring, the crowd booing the young World Champion.

Corey Graves: Now here's a champion we can be proud of, Joey. This man broke every record in his Path to Glory Championship reign. Is he going to do it again with the World Championship?

Joey Styles: Feel the tension between these two young athletes! Big fight feel here tonight!

The bell rang and both men circled the ring for a few moments before locking in tightly... PJ went for a side headlock and a right hand... Randy retreated before attempting a clothesline which was ducked by PJ, who bounced back on the ropes and laid a clothesline of his own on Randy followed by a quick cover which was only enough for a 1 count.

Corey Graves: He's got to try harder if he wants to retain the World Championship!

Both men went back up on their feet, this time it was Orton who landed a couple of right hands on PJ, he whipped him onto the ropes and attempted a dropkick on his bouncing opponent. PJ moved out of the way and bounced against the ropes again, picking up speed. Randy flat backed and PJ leapt over him, quickly standing up and hitting a huge snap powerslam on Black! Orton hooked the leg! 1...2 kickout!

Joey Styles: What a thunderous powerslam!

Corey Graves: Orton is so fast. His explosiveness is something that not many people can emulate.

Orton helped PJ up and threw him against the turnbuckle. Orton went on the second rope and began pummeling down hard rights on the champion! The crowd counted along, 1! 2! 3! 4! 5! 6! PJ hooked his arms underneath Randy's legs for a powerbomb, but Randy fought him off and got a couple more hits in. PJ had enough mustered up to just shove Orton off the second rope. PJ Black ascended the top rope, launching off the top rope with spinning heel kick, landing square on the challenger's upper chest!

Joey Styles: MY GOD! What a move by PJ Black! This man is so talented.

Corey Graves: It was a beautiful move, no doubt, But can he capitalize?

Black went for the cover 1...2... Kickout by Orton!

Joey Styles: No! Orton kicked out!

PJ Black helped his opponent up and irish whipped him onto the corner. PJ then charged at him but Randy dodged in time, PJ went chest first onto the turnbuckle, stumbling out of the corner into an inverted headlock backbreaker! Orton went for the cover 1...2... and a kickout by PJ Black! Orton quickly jumped up on his feet. Circling a dazed PJ Black... A smirk curled up across his face as PJ regained his vertical base. Randy Orton went for the RKO but PJ leapt up and connected with a Pele kick! Orton stumbled back, and Black, sensing the advantage ran towards the ropes. PJ bounced on the ropes and laid a clothesline on Randy, who wasted no time in standing up, PJ bounced on the opposite ropes and hit a calf kick on Randy's face... Randy again stood up promptly, and threw a right hand at PJ, who caught it and hit him with an arm trap swinging neckbreaker!

Joey Styles: Here it goes! PJ covers Orton! One... Two... Thr... And Orton kicks out!

Corey Graves: These two are laying it all out here for the World Championship!

PJ pushed Orton up and whipped him onto the ropes, Orton countered with a Lou Thesz press, hitting PJ Black with repetitive closed fist punches. Orton then tossed PJ Black through the ropes, making sure he landed on the apron... Orton went for a Rope hung DDT but PJ countered with a headbutt to the midsection, followed by a springboard axe handle smash! Orton was down, and PJ went to the top rope, signifying for a 450 splash!

Corey Graves: I think PJ Black wants to finish it here!

PJ put his arms up, preparing for the move, but Randy exploded out of his supine position on the mat, and mounted the turnbuckle, grabbing PJ's head.

Joey Styles: Randy's going for a superplex!

Randy lifted PJ up in the air and executed a picture perfect superplex off the top rope, both men landing flat on their backs. The crowd roared in appreciation as both men clutched their spine in agony.

Joey Styles: These two men are laying it all in the ring!

Randy was the first to move. He rolled over and got up to a standing base. The crowd began to get hot as he looked down at PJ who was still on his back. A sinister grin formed on his lips as he slinked away from his opponent.

Joey Styles: Uh-oh, I think I know where this is going.

Randy dropped to his belly and started pounding the ring with his fists, and the crowd cheered. PJ Black was slowly starting to get up, and had his back turned to the challenger.

Corey Graves: Don't turn around, PJ!

Randy was crouched and ready to strike as PJ started to turn. Just as Randy lurched forward, PJ Black telegraphed him and grabbed his head, bringing it crashing down to the mat.

Joey Styles: OH MY GOD!

Corey Graves: WHAT?!

Joey Styles: PJ Black just hit Randy Orton with an RKO of his own!

The crowd lost it as PJ quickly scrambled towards the closest corner. He mounted the turnbuckle and went to the top rope, measuring up Orton. Without wasting any time, PJ launched off and hit a textbook 450. He landed square on Randy's chest, and hooked the leg.

1.....2......3!!!!

Joey Styles: What a win for the World Champion PJ Black!

Corey Graves: I can't believe it! PJ Black put Randy Orton down with his own move!

Joey Styles: Man, if you weren't impressed with PJ Black before, you are now.

"Sick of It" by Skillet was playing throughout the arena as the referee handed PJ Black his EBWF World Championship belt. PJ draped it over his shoulder and held it steady with his free arm, his other arm still clutching his abdomen. Breathing heavily, PJ stumbled to the corner and stepped up to the second rope, holding his title in the air as EBWF Aftermath went off the air.
