I Want The Glory

The scene opened in a dark room... the usual setting for a Nikki Cross promo. Nikki was sat in front of a TV set, watching old videos of Trish Stratus. As the camera zoomed in on her, Nikki began to speak, her eyes still transfixed on the screen.

Nikki Cross: When I was a little girl, I grew up Trish Stratus. I was only 10 years old when Trish made her wrestling debut... does that make you feel old Trish?

Nikki laughed, then continued speaking.

Nikki Cross: I have been sitting in the shadows, waiting for my time to shine. I want the gold, I want the glory, I want to be Women’s Champion! I have held that title in my hands, but it was never mine to keep. And that makes me want it even more.

Nikki wrapped her arms around herself, as if clutching an invisible title.

Nikki Cross: Three wins and I will be Queen. The spotlight will be on me. First up, Trish Stratus. I dreamed of beating you as a kid, and tonight I can make that dream a reality.

Nikki laughed some more, then let out a scream and charged towards the TV, knocking it over. The screen smashed and the scene faded to static.
