The scene opened backstage at Warfare, where Chris Jericho was standing in the hallway. As the camera started rolling, Jericho began to speak.
Chris Jericho: Brock Anderson... tonight, you've got the opportunity of a lifetime. You've got the biggest match of your career. You've got a one on once match with the GOAT, yours truly, Chris Jericho. You're facing a man who has been wrestling longer than you've been alive, a legend of the business who has won more championships than your father Arn could ever dream of. Now I know you know a lot about me, Brock. How could you not? You probably had posters of me on your bedroom wall when you were a kid. Maybe you had them because I was one of your favourite wrestlers, the sort of wrestler you wanted to be one day... or maybe you had posters of me on your wall because you thought I was a sexy beast. I'm not judging!
Jericho smirked to himself, then continued.
Chris Jericho: But here's something you probably don't know, junior. Did you know that I'm a big part of the reason why EBWF offered you a contract? It's true. Part of my role here is to oversee EBWF's performance and development programme, which involves scouting new talent and making recommendations to Wes Ikeda. And it was me who said to Wes, "hey maybe we should try to sign Arn Anderson's boy". Now it wasn't just because of your father that I recommended you, Brock... it was because I saw a lot of potential in you. And let's be honest, you've lived up to that potential in your EBWF career thus far. You're the EBWF Breakout Champion, and you just keep winning. I think I could probably count the number of matches you've lost in EBWF on one hand. That's impressive, really it is. But the problem I've got, Brock, is that when things don't go your way... on those rare occasions when you do lose... the problem then is, you turn into a little bitch. I saw what you did to Adam Cole a few months ago when he beat you. Now Adam and I have had our problems in the past, but I thought the way you acted was out of line, Brock. You DDTed Adam onto exposed concrete, an action which could have ended his career, and the only reason you did that was because you didn't like the fact that he beat you. Especially because he beat you fair and square - if he'd cheated, I maybe could have understood it, but no you were just being a sore loser. And what that showed me, Brock, is that you have an attitude problem. So tonight, Brock, I'm going to teach you some respect! I'm going to give you the toughest match of your career, and if... no, when... I beat you, I'm going to make you shake my hand afterwards, like a man. And if you don't shake my hand... or if you do, but then you try to cheap shot me like you did to Adam Cole... well then Brock, I'm going to beat you again! And maybe this time, it will be your head being drilled into that exposed concrete. I've done worse in the past; check my record! Anything you might think of doing to me Brock, whatever you might want to do to me, I've probably done to someone else at some point in my career. So I'm ready for anything tonight. The question is, Brock... are you ready for Chris Jericho?
